people say that LVO usually updates the application status on "Tuesdays". is that correct? or just another rumor? when someone told me this it sounded sort of stupid, but still wanted to confirm from experts here. thanks

I don't think so. We had an update today and its not Tuesday. Some people get updates on Saturday also. I don't think there is a preferred day. I could be wrong.

my ecas updated yesterday with line: We started processing your application on January 23, 2018.

my ecas had changed to "in process" jan 15 and rcved transfer email to LVO on jan 17. does the above "we started processing..." mean that an officer at LVO has opened my file? just wondering why there is such a big gap between all 3 events?

All the best! Our second last set of notes were generated the same day our file was picked up fro review! It made us so sad!

We got our last set of notes yesterday! page and a half long officer notes under eligibility. THREE times they wrote 'culturally extremely unusual'. Just before the third time they wrote 'PA and Sponsor look very much at ease with each other in photos provided' and yet they doubted the genuineness of the marriage! Anyway it was rather infuriating to read all of that, but hopefully we are closer to PPR now. Let's see.

That my husband and I were in a relationship for 6 months almost a decade ago, ended our relationship and stayed friends until 2 years ago when met and rekindled our love and decided to get married, involved our families, then a year later got married. This to them is 'culturally extremely unusual'. Even though our marriage took place in the presence of all of our family and friends. They need to stop putting people in boxes!

it didn't for us. It only changed when we uploaded a doc which CIC requested. It then changed to documents have been uploaded (something along those lines)

I have read here with some members indicating the same thing that when they had ordered the notes they noticed in GCKey this message:

Review of additional documents We need more documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details.
U mean when you ordered your notes, you guys never noticed this message? as some members are reporting here the same.
Because i am wondering if LVO really needs some more documents then when they going to inform me and how? their email with the documents they required, should have already come to me and my GCKey should have "upload documents" option enabled too.

If CIC requests documents, the PA will get an email, and there will be a pdf attached to the PA's GCKey right under the status messages (Eligibilit, Add doc, BGC etc). So don't worry if you dont see those, then they have not contacted you and its the GCMS notes that prompted the change in Additional doc status. We DID see this message when we first ordered our notes as did A LOT of members here on the forum. Do not worry.

But that’s your frekan choice, like how is that culturally unacceptable. That may be in religious terms but they are talking about culture.... like why can’t they understand it’s normal it’s life

yes doesn't make any sense to me and if this is their thought then they should come out of this.

They have a box solution in which they try to fit everyone. Pakistan is a huge country with people from all sort of versatile background, religions, religious sects, languages, provinces, castes, social status etc. Hoping our 3+ weeks of khuwari, sleeplessness, sitting in one position for hours taking screenshots of chats, email, calls etc collecting every piece of evidence we could had worked in our favour.

I m 2nd marriage case too and i m a sponsor. My wife is first marriage case. Looks like 2nd marriage is a crime in the eyes of each and every VOs.. and they call PA for an interview to find out why she OR he did that crime and on what grounds and why PA believe she or he shouldn't be punished for this crime of 2nd marriage to Sponsor.!

Agreed and its a double crime if you are couple of years older than your spouse, doesn’t matter if you’re living together for past one year now , have trips together, , have lots of pictures with family &friends still they will find your marriage suspicious because it’s culturally unusual, i mean why they think everyone in Pakistan follow some set of rules to get married
