Hello,
I moved to Canada 4 years ago for study, about a year ago I graduated from school and got a work permit for 3 years. In the past few years, I have applied for VISA several times, and got approved in about two weeks after I submitted my application.
My current visa has expired and I have applied for a new one mid-December. Still, I haven't heard anything from the immigration office.
I am planning to leave Canada for two weeks mid-February to visit my family whom I haven't seen in 4 years and this is the only chance that I got. They're gonna fly to Instanbul and I'm going to go there to see them. They already have booked their flights and so did I. But not having heard back from immigration office is stressing me out.
I have already emailed all the receipts for the flight tickets to the office. Apparently they are doing a background check (which didn't happen on my other previous visa applications)!
Does someone have any experiences in these cases? Is there a way to speed up the application?
This is very important to me and it's kinda urgent. Travelling is not something that my family can do any day ...
