Yes, this time around, the notes which were generated on December 11, 4 days after I ordered them, had one line in the paper file section under eligibility that Interview was required and then there was a line after that which said "Please place file in interview queue". That was it. On May 26, when our file was opened in Mexico, they did a pre-assessment text on our relationship, you probably got the same thing. Anyways, they summarized our relationship and listed all the proof of relationship evidence we submitted with our application. However, there was no mention of any concerns they had with our relationship (subjective comments like there is a significant age difference between the the sponsor and PA and that our cohabitation period was a few years ago and we didn't apply right away, etc.). This latest set of notes did not contain any of these comments, either, and simply said that an interview was required. We know our red flags, but it is strange how they haven't actually written down what exactly they were concerned about.
I called the IRCC call centre yesterday to ask what I could do when we reach our 12 month mark since our app was received. They told me to send a letter through the IRCC webform to inform the Visa Office once we have reached the 1 year mark and ask what our status is. He didn't say that this would make them flag our app and try to finish it off faster.
I just want to know if they are to give us an interview date or not. This is the thing that is holding up everything. The date on the notes where they said to put us in queue was on November 14. It has been more than 2 months now and I know that Jan applicants have interview dates this month, so this is something I am going to press them about when I send our letter next week. I was planning on doing this anyways. Hopefully before the end of this month I will get a response from the Visa Office on what is going to happen.
