First of all, @shoi 's spouse must be in Canada for a longer time to accumulate the proofs you are saying here, therefore, that would encounter to registering marriage after at a longer interval of time after arriving to Canada, which means the spousal process would also start after a longer time, and the work-permit would also then take its time. A genuine relationship of a person who is in TRV would not be living together, taking photos, and then bam ... a wedding. Indian marriages are questioned every time there are no proofs of traditional customs and rituals, which we have seen here at this forum many times. When they are married and genuine in the first place, why make them do something that is not GENUINE!. @shoi please be sensible and consider what is important to you!
I agree with you on this. We went to 2 IAD hearings(rejection by NDVO) recently to get a reality check on what happens behind the scenes. The questions asked were mostly based on cultural context of the country/region you are from. I would always recommend putting the best foot forward in the first place, specially for immigration applications, when we dont know who will be assessing our case at NDVO.

Inland applicant whether Worker or Student cannot leave Canada during processing.
Thanks steller.

Would you know how long after submitting the application does the PA get a request for the police certificate and medicals? Can we provide the police certificate upfront, when submitting the application?

Hi Guys.
I'm back to the forum after 8 months. 8 months ago, Canadavisa was my home. Immigrated in June and now back to this page as I need some help. Not that I dint help anyone after immigration :D

So here's the list of questions I have:
1. What's the process (step-by-step guide) to bring in your spouse? There must be some thread for this one. Could you please redirect me?
2. My would be wife (Indian passport) is in the US currently on her OPT/Stem extension. Is it complex to process this in this scenario?
3. How long does it take to process the app? I read 12 months on the website of IRCC?
4. Is this a straightforward process as express entry? Or we need to go for agents to help us out?

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to be on this board throughout 2018.
Happy to help on immigration questions, if any.

You will get AOR-1 within a month of application receive date.
PCC, Schedue-A request within a week from AOR-1 and following week Medical request.
Do not submit PCC upfront, you will have to upload it in gckey after you get a request.

To answer your questions, we need to figure out one thing first:
1. What is the relationship of you two, when you became a PR?

Request says "notarized(certified) translation"

So does that means it needs to be certified and notarized?
I called one service in Alberta but they said they don't do notarized copies and that would need to be done at a lawyers office. They say that there certified translations are accepted by CIC
However, my understanding when you get something notarized is that the person is there to sign.the document in the presence of the lawyer or official that does the notary.

Anybody have experience of this and what did you do?

Hi Guys,

This wait is very annoying, i rang CIC this morning however they could not give me any update as the file is sitting with NDVO and suggested me to contact NDVO.

Please advise if i should send an email to NDVO asking for an update even though i have a representative. And, if i should send , then should it be sent from the Applicant or the Sponsor?
If you have a representative you can't email them that's the problem. I had representative as well I emailed them a couple weeks ago and I got a reply from IRCC said I can't access to my application information status as I have a representative so they asked me if I want to cancel then iam able to get information. I jast cancelled my representative and e-mailed them again.

Here’s the thing. My wife will be visiting me in Canada around the end of feb and will be here for a couple of months. we intend to submit the pr application in a couple of weeks from now. What if she’s in Canada when the CIC requests this information. Can she get the police certificate and medical exam done in Canada while being on a visitor visa?

Also I could apply for those before she gets here and just upload when they ask for it right? PCC we’ll get from the psk.
