I was Toronto based for the last 7 years, but IRCC only request your current home address & mailing address in the application form (no requirement for a Canadian address here).

Hm.. I thought I read somewhere you need a Canadian address for them to process your application, as they don't send any correspondences to outside of the country. I could be wrong as my memory seem to be fading these days...

Please update - In process Jan 17th (Oliveira)

My Application was received on Nov 10th, 2017 and still waiting! let's have some patience

If you're waiting for AOR, it will be around within the next 35 to 45 days as maximum waiting time and then follows IP that will come in a few days unless your file is complete. Just sharing thoughts

Hi Guys

Does anyone has an idea as to which IRCC office I might be shunted to with a Toronto downtown address for further processing of the application post status change to IP.

Thanks for the advise.

i have a question what if a person is on business trip to india will the days be counted as his physical presence in canada

Good questions... for as long as you declare your Ins and Out in Canada, I mean on your Physical Presence (PP). If you are away or outside Canada, you should have declared it on your PP form.

Hi

Thanks for the msg, I checked it was in my inbox not in junk/spam folder.

Does that mean AOR or inquiry ?

Thanks

AOR is acknowledgement of Receipt that mean they received your file. The next step will be IP and it will be there on Line 3 in a few days.

Hi all,

I looked online but couldn't find much; what is the typical timeline? How long after receiving AOR should I expect to see invitation to write the test? Or after "In Progress" status.
and what after? Are we looking at 12 months for final completion? It'd be nice if someone can list the typical timeline.

Thanks so much!

After AOR, it will be IP in the next few days to a week. From IP to Test INvite, it depends if they need you to submit Finger Print or other documents. Or if nothing is requested then you're on your way to Test Invite.

  1. We sent you correspondence on January 17, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
Can someone please explain this stage? It's followed by in process.

This is a Finger Print request, Wait for the letter and proceed to RCMP or Commissionaire for Finger Printing. Cross Finger that it is FP.

It seems that a lot of applicants is re
That is completly wrong, my wife received AOR after 57 days, and her friend received it after 32 day, both applications sent by courier, and the funy thing my wife application got IP status even it got AOR 25 later, and here friend status did not change ...I was thinking the same at the begining, then I found out applicants should not worry it is matter of time I guess!

No one is wrong. There are cases that mostly AOR will come out after 35 to 45 days but if you have or others received AOR within or less than 60 days that depends on the volume received on that day. We are here to assist each other and no one is wrong. We all shares the same goals and experiences for this citizenship journey. After AOR it will follow IP within the next few days or a week but there are cases that it will take awhile and for sure it won't be long.

Yes you are Right. They will only respond to Canadian address and not outside Canada. I read it too somewhere but can not locate the reference. If in doubt, check IRCC website

another question what if the person has stayed for more than 183 days in india in a year in parts (like 3 months in first half of the year and around 3 months in the second half of the year) does he still need a police clearance certificate from india

Just declare all absences on your Physical Presence and you'll be fine. And lastly, be sure that you met the requirement for residence of 1095 (3 years)...
