Had a quick question about OINP. If we have to send all hard copies of documents as per OINP check list to Ontario through a courier, what are we supposed to do on the OINP wesbite/ portal

Hi,

Regarding OINP, Could someone please clarify about following matters:

1) OINP is going to nominate 6,600 immigrants in 2018 according to their latest announcement, so the question is what proportion of that figure will be allocated to the program "Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream"?

2) Do they mainly select candidates with work experience in Information and Communications Technology-related occupations? Is there any chance for other occupations such as civil/mechanical/electrical engineers to receive NOI?

3) Based on CRS distribution until 4th January, there are almost 19,000 candidates with crs between 400 and 446, and we all know that people with good crs scores (I mean above 400) are entered the pool on a daily basis. Therefore, the number of OINP allocation for 2018, which is 6,600, is far less than the potential candidates. I was wondering what their criteria is for choosing people? Is it really just based on the date that one submits their profile?

Are you referring to PPR?

And yes, they do. I've even heard people getting their PPR in 14 business days.

my profile was created on 7th of December with 434 crs . Will I get an NOI or do I need to create a fresh one

Possibly wait for a couple days and see if people are getting and you don't get. Then maybe recreate the profile then. That's my plan tho.

Can you clarify my doubt please ...
My last working day was 30th sept 2013

According to OINP hcp criteria

-you have accumulated a continuous period of at least one year of paid full- time work experience, or the equivalent in paid part-time work experience, within the last five years from the date of your NOI from Ontario, and

So my work experience comes within 5 years but its not 1 full year within that 5 year ...
I dont know if I am eligible to qualify for OINP..

Waiting at 431 and next month I will be 426

I will be glad if you or anyone can clarify my doubt here..

You need to have the one year work experience within the past five years.
If you are submitting your application for OINP today (Jan 19, 2018), you need to have 1 year work experience after Jan 19, 2013. So I guess, you would not be eligible to apply under HCP OINP stream.

And, could you please comment on how the OINP timeline compares with the normal FSW stream? I am thinking there should not be a difference in processing time after applying with CRS 600+. Is it true?

It has been observed in the past for majority of the applicants applying through the PNP program, the processing timelines are on an average higher than those who apply under the FSW/CEC program. The processing timeline starts after submitting the application for PR (post receiving ITA).

I meet Ontario’s stream criteria. Why haven’t I received a Notification of Interest?

In 2017, Ontario was allocated 2500 nomination spaces by the federal government to use with Express Entry. The number of people who are eligible for our streams and who wish to apply for a nomination may surpass that number. Because of this, not everyone who qualifies for our stream will receive a Notification of Interest. Please note that OINP monitors the intake of applications with respect to the limits of Ontario’s federal nomination allocation.

I am still able to see the answer I posted in the FAQ link I had shared. Could you please share the link where you are seeing the above statement.

New dilemma! CRS 442 profile created in September. Delete and create new profile in your opinion? Haven't they removed the bug after the maintenance?

Risky to recreate profile with CRS 442 as you might get affected in the next draw.

Silly question:

Considering u meet all requirements for the HCP, people at or above 400 points have roughly equal chances to get a NOI??

Or if you have, for instance, 435 points on an IT NOC u have an advantage over someone who has 403 on a Financial NOC?

Everyone with CRS 400 and above are eligible if they meet the remaining criteria, so with respect to the CRS score all applicants with 400 and above are equal.
With respect to the NOC's, they might have more preference to some NOC's over others but they do not reveal that data.

The only delay for PNP is, that they do wait for the province to confirm the nomination (eg. Ontario has lists of nominations from each month and it is forwarding it to federal stage within 2 months after that month is closed).

Good news is, that some other checks (Security) can be running in parallel.
After that PNP just like other applicants will go to the waiting queue for the local embassy. And of course if there are other delays (like medical and such), all is postponed, but it would be the same thing for direct ITA.

According to statistics PNP wait a bit longer than CEC (app. 1 month longer), but more or less the same as FSW.

So there is no real difference there.

I am not sure about the reasons but what I have seen from immigration trackers or from this forum/whatsapp groups are that PNP applicants wait a bit longer than the rest. Maybe its due to the reason mentioned by you - delay in sending the nomination list.
Also, have seen lot of folks under FSW stream getting PPR within a month or 2.
