My parents leave in Fort Mcmurray, the only flight available in Fort Mcmurray is to Edmonton or Calgary. No direct flight to Fort Mcmurray to Vancouver. They took the earliest flight to Calgary and arrived around 1020PM so Flying from Calgary to Vancouver will take us 1.50 hours and to reach the border in BC we need to drive 2.5 hours.. so it is too late.. when they arrived at Calgary airport, we only have 2 hours left before 12 midnight. so its too late..

Good news / UPDATE .. visa officer emailed us and said that they are again opened my parents account.. they will contact us soon for the next step.

Possible step could be: Extension of medical expiry date and re issue of COPR and Visa OR remedical..

Hello everyone

We recd the letter to redo Medicals and Pre Arrival letter on Nov 3.
The medicals were redone on Nov 6. My mother is on a super visa in Canada so medicals were done in Canada itself.
ECAS showed my mothers application to "Decision Made" on Jan 8 but we have not received the PPR yet.
Can any please advise how long would it approx take from DM to PPR?
Is there any way we can get in touch with NDVO or is it too early yet?

My parents medical was done in March 2017, Since then no further communication. I just received 'pre-arrival services doc' without PPR email. Now i am confused is there any step missed or this 'pre-arrival services doc' is sent before the PPR. Can anyone share any experience with regards to it.

My parents got email requesting for travel history. They did the med Feb 2017. and it is going to expire soon, anyone here have any idea what can be expected next? I am worried if they will be asked to redo the med....

they will send you pre-arrival letter and re-do medical forms. Most people have the same process like this.

My Father in law is in exactly the same boat as your parents. He did his medical in March 2017 and visa office is London. We received the "pre arrival" letter on Jan 6th and background check began on Jan 3rd. No updates since then. Hoping based on other people's experiences he will get PPR this month.

How long is the med results valid for ? Is it one year ? My parents did the first med first check in Feb 2017 and checked again in June 2017. In this case, when will the med expire ?

1 year. Expire day will be mid Feb

Today I got an email from the visa office(Ottawa) saying I need to fill out IM5562 form. Anybody got this request?

IMM5562: Please state your current country of residence and provide a list of your travel history, if any, within the past 10 years. This must be received at this office by: 2018/01/30

I guess I can just email back to them with the scanned document?

I really wish there's timeline that I can check so I can at least what is going on with my application...

Once you send it, you will receive pre-arrival letter and re-medical request within week. Just fill the form, scan it and send it.
