Hi @legalfalcon
It's been more than 40 days now since I ordered my GCMS notes and IRCC is yet to release them. I know I'm in Security Screening since September 11th, do you think this delay in issuing the GCMS is a result of SS? and if so, at what stage do you think they are ? the first set of notes i received back in October showed the Security Screening activity. What could be the hold-up now?

thanks
Hello, how do you know you're in security screening if you didnt recieve your gcms yet ?

1. The Work Permit or the SOWP gives you the duration within which you can legally work in Canada. You can enter Canada anytime, but the only during the validity can you work.
OK, so in my case, TRV expiry is 09-January-2019, let say, I land canada on 15-Feb-2018 and get WP at border control, dated 15-Feb-2018, with expiry 15-Feb-2019, instead TRV expires prior to WP???? I mean expiry of WP would be different from expiry of TRV ???

Hi Legal,
I have submitted additional documents on 10th January 2018 which was requested by them on 15th December 2017. The deadline was 14th January 2018. Now my question is my medical is already expired on 7th January 2018. Before it was passed and now it is saying "You do not need medical exam". I am CEC Outland applicant. I did not receive a request to re-do medical.....Could you please tell me what could be the reason for this ?????

One more question, I applied for GCMS notes on 8th November 2017 and on 15th December 2017, I got additional document request.....still I have not received my GCMS notes........When will i get my GCMS notes ??????

Hi @legalfalcon

Need to ask one more thing.

I was transferred from my home country to the country of residence by my company.

So, I have to submit separate letter of recommendation for both places separately.

But the HR at my home country has denied to give letter as per CIC requirement. So, I am planning to submit the standard service letter from HR, pay stubs and a notarized job duties letter from an ex-colleague for that portion. Whereas, in country of residence my Manager has given me job responsibilities attestation on company letter head and all other details mentioned on hr letter again on letter head.

So, will it raise any concern to Case Officer that same company (although different countries) have different types of letters for different job periods?

Should I worry or as long as I provide all relevant details, it is fine ?

Thanks in advance.
No, this will work fine. Just explain it in LoE and with the documents you have mentioned, there should be no problem.

Many requests which were filed in December have bene delayed due to the federal holidays. Also, being in SS does delay as it is CBSA, and not IRCC which has to give clearance, before the notes are cleared. IRCC is unpredictable. Where did you order your notes from?

From Getgcms.com, the same link you have in your signature. They have already filed a "status request" to IRCC. I am just wondering, concerning SS, if it's at the final stages since now they are waiting for clearance to release it, while the first set of notes I ordered back in October was released in 30 days without issues (and I was already in SS then since September).

Thank you for response.. Can you please provide some inputs for my difference of points between EE profile and in CRS tool?

When I compared both breakdowns of scores, it looks like I did not get points for my CRS education score at the end which should be 15,

In CRS tool, it's giving me CRS-Education 15 points whereas in my profile it's showing as 0, does this mean there's a mistake in calculating my points, or maybe I might have entered details in wrong way.?
I only have 2-year diploma here in Canada

Also, below are some of my basic details

Age
: between 20-29
Education: 2-year diploma in Canada
Foreign Education: High School Graduate
Canadian Work Experience:1 year
Foreign Work Experience: None
IELTS Result: L: 8, R:7,5, S:7, W: 6 (given for remark, might change)
Sibling in Canada: Yes
Do I have a job offer: No
Certificate of Qualification: No
Province Nomination: No
Compare your scores in your profile with this link:

YEs, the WP dates can be different from TRV. You can work only during the dates mentioned in the WP, however you can live in Canada as long as you have a valid TRV. When your WP is about to expire, you should file a renewal 90 days prior.

When your medicals expire, it triggers a system alert and IRCC takes a call on it. Either they can extend your medicals, or ask you to re-do them. You can raise a CSE and ask IRCC, or just wait to hear from them.

If your GCMS notes are delayed, that could be because your application is at the finalization stage, an administrative delay, or with an outside agency. Just follow up with IRCC and see where the delay is.

Most GCMS notes ordered in December are delayed. GET GCMS sends out status query requests to IRCC when there is a delay. And if there is no response, then GET GCMS will give you an option to file a complaint with ICC. But in most cases the GCMS notes are released within 2-3 weeks.
