why they do that ? in your opinion it will take more than 20 Months ?

I cannot say about time frame ..but i feel your application might be in security checks ...apply for GCMS to get clear picture...

I see many concerned about medicals expiring. I believe they have a time period of 1 year starting from the day the test was done. But, until what stage of the application process they have to be valid? Do they have to be valid till the decision is made or till they request for the medicals?

In my case, I applied inland in June - 2017 without medicals and updated my medicals later.

they renewed my medicals for 8 more months after 1 year

Nnnope. I sent my passport copy only on Jan 3rd because I was traveling. It arrived in Ottawa on the next day. I wonder if there is a difference in processing times for passports and copies?

Often in case of inland or US applicants VO generally extend medicals for duration within which he feels decision will be made on application ....

Medical is extended automatically based on discretion of VO... In case if it is not extended CIC will ask for medicals again...

We verified the information you provided and are pleased to inform you that everything appears to be in order with your application"

I am so angry. it will never finished for me

I think quebec immigration is to just get your money and waste your time given that express entry is moving really fast. Whatever reason they give is bull.
If you haven't travelled many countries and being inland should be faster.
