are you sure your application is in process ? Does it show "Application received" or "In process" when you log in to ECAS ?

Did you request for urgent processing ?

I don’t know how CIC is working because they started working on the new files but forget about the old ones...they are not consistent in working files...or maybe officer who suppose to work on our files is sick

My guess is that some of Nov first week applications went into pile of Oct applications and will start getting AOR after Oct has been completed.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on

My question is does that mean they mailed me the discover canada book
And does number two mean AOR? Whats aor in full, thanks

They no longer mail out physical copies of Discover Canada (as long as you provided an email address on your application). You can order one free of cost if you'd like, otherwise you can download the pdf or audio versions.

AOR is Acknowledgement of Receipt. Yes, it is AOR.

Yes it is AOR. AOR stands for acknowledgement of receipt

I literally received my AOR just moments ago! Please update my status on the spreadsheet. (App received Nov 9).

Stay calm everyone who is waiting. It will come. I had just stopped worrying about it and let it arrive when it was ready.

Hi, how did you you receive your AOR? I'm patiently waiting for my mom's AOR and eCAS update since it has been 51 days already since its delivery to the Sydney office. Thanks.
