So either i am SUPER DUPER lucky or the officer made a mistake, got an email to write the test on the 5th February at 8:30am and ECAS update invites me for an OATH on the same day at 12:30pm. Which i think is a mistake, as even if they are doing oaths the same day, still i shouldnt get an invitation without my test results.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 16, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 17, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on December 4, 2017.
4. We sent you a notice on January 11, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on February 5, 2018 at 12:30 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

It happens that you oath at the same date unless you failed the test... so write the test, pass and get the oath the you will be Canadian

Its Friday just need some update
I received Test invite via my email from Calgary
on 11 Jan 2018 and the test will on 21 February

IRCC officers are working very hard and it seems it is an innocent mistake.

One other member reported the same in september applicant group.

so i think its because i live around 450km from edmonton and the other user from september that reported the test and oath on the same day mentioned in his group that he lives around 300km from edmonton and mentioned that there was an individual in the past that had his test and oath on the same day,

its funny as i got invited for the test on the 12th january, but they sent me written invitation for oath on the 11th january.

Mine case is also same ! I live 500kms away and got invited for test/oath same day

I finally go my AOR. I live in Montreal and sent to NS.

Guys what does mean, when IRCC officer says:

"We have done all back ground checks and all is good, no additional documents needed, now we are checking documents sent and you will be write the test and oath before Oct 2018"

What is the "back ground checks"
