parent/grandparent sponsorship

Hi there,
I would like to sponsor my father and i am not clear with the following:
1. Where can i get the application for permanent residence for my dad which i have to submitt in the same time with my sponsorship docs? I can't find it on Immigration website, or the site with info about parents/grandparents sponsorship
2. What else does he need to provide me so i can send it to Mississauga center? He lives in Eastern Europe, he's retired.
3. Do i have to wait until the end of year to get the updated 2017 docs, does anyone know when will they be posted?

2. Approximately how long does it take the parents to get their PR after their child initiates their application?

3 (a). Can younger siblings who have come of age be sponsored for PR?
(b). If yes, then how long does it take for them to get PR after their application is submitted?

1. It depends on how long it takes you to meet the 3 year financial requirement. If you meet the LICO for 2017, 2018 and 2019, you could sponsor your parents in 2021.

2. Right now, it takes several years. No one can say what the processing times will be like in a few years.

3 (a) and (b). Younger siblings can only be sponsored if they are under 19 and included as dependents in their parents' application. Siblings 19 or older can't be sponsored.

Hi seniors i need ur advise . i want to apply in 2017 my income for 2013 is $46510 and lico plus 30% is 46354. so i already cross the minimum income. is it ok in my case to put the file next year .....plz confirm me i need ur help really urgent ....thanks...

That is for family size of 3, so you + spouse + kids + parents = 3 people in total.

Income requirements for family size 3 to apply in 2017 are:
2013 46,354
2014 47,051
2015 around 48,000

You need to make sure you have income higher than this in each year. Then you need to keep meeting the LICO amount until app is approved.

Quick Question: For those who got the email invitation to apply to sponsor parent or grandparent in April 2017.......Once you submitted the full application - how long did it take them to successfully approve the application for you i.e. to stamp it with final approval?

It will take several years, right now they are processing Jan 2014 application

Nobody here will know the answer, as it's not stated anywhere. So all we can do it guess.

My guess is that as long as sponsors are different, it won't be counted as duplicate for same parents.

Hi guys I actually called the 18006226232 number and had a chat when I asked her initially she said yes it will be duplicate but when I explained her in detail she said no it will not be duplicate so I am still confused so logically it makes sense to consider my brother and mine application to be separate so I think we will pray and apply individually

The call centre is in most cases useless. For items like this that are not explicitly stated in the CIC website, you'l' get a different answer every time you call.
