Ok guys, I noticed the following changes happen in ecas and mycic login. Not sure what this means but sure looks like some movement!!

On Jan 6, 2018, a big paragraph got added to my ecas.
  1. We sent "PRINCIPAL APPLICANT" correspondence on MON DD, YYYY. If PA has not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please have PA do so as soon as possible. Please wait until PA receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required
This statement was not present before and it was for schedule a and pcc which we had already submitted.

On Jan 8, 2018 ie today, in MyCIC account, the status of Review of additional documents changed to "We do not need additional documents."

Other april applicants, please share if you are seeing similar updates!
We got the same update in our ECAS 3 days ago...there is definitely some movement with April applicants

Yes I did receive the notes in December, it was before they made a decision.
Oh I see; do you mind sharing your paper locations so that we know what to expect? It would be greatly appreciated! So far, for a straight forward case, I've figured the locations up to FCU-DIS.

Hi...i am new to this thread. I applied in june 2017 for spouse visa however when i check my gckey account for background check it says not applicable...is this normal or should i be worried...please if anyone can help me

I am Canadian PR holder and living in Canada while my newly married spouse is in India.
1) Should I submit my spouse's application package to Mississauga office or New Delhi? I saw posts where people are complaining about Delhi office.
2) What is the average processing time for spouse case these days? I could not conclude from comments
3) If I submit Schedule A, police certificates upfront, can it expedite the process?
4) Also they need proof of communication, most of our chat is in the non-English language. Please advise how to translate it to English (I mean whose stamp is needed)

1. HAHA you don't have the option to select your visa office, you submit it to Missisauga, they assess you and then send your file to new delhi to assess your wife's/ total application
2. right now average processing time for a complete application is 8-10 months; but each case is different, however that is the average thus far
3. if you send a complete application in the first place, that could expedite the process in terms of it being sent to new delhi visa office faster however when it gets to new delhi is less important than when it gets to Mississauga so might as well follow the current process.
