I came to canada in 2015 under spousal sponsorship. I would definitely meet financial requirement for 2016 and 2017 but not 2015 :(

can we not express consent and choose the "year" in which we want to sponsor? like for me, if i can choose 2019 cuz i'll have met income requirements for 16/17/18?
No, you can't do this.

You don't qualify in 2018, so don't apply. Wait until at least 2019 or 2020.

The
sigh...yea this doesn't help...
just look at how many non-qualifying people come to this forum and ask questions like "i have enough incomes in past 3 years but not in tax filed in Canada", "what is my family?", and still think they qualify or CIC will make exceptions if they explain to them...
Just look at the other 2018 thread., one lady, who doesn't meet income requirement, got the lottery picked last year and thinks CIC will make exception if she explains/lawyer up, that she need her parents because she cannot afford day care for her child...
These people are just going to do it anyway and see if they get it.
We all know "to make it fairer" is not the reason they changed to lottery....
There are so many people like this lady who thinks that just because they have enough income from outside canada before they landed they can use them as proof of income. In fact most pgp refusal cases are these people. I doubt that the lottery will be clear to them only line 150 in the tax return is counted

No point applying as you are not qualified. And income tax return for 2018 is not available till at least april 2019

they dont need income tax return, they will be able to get info regarding your income from the SIN.
2018 income won't be considered. They year obviously won't be over at the time you apply - so there's obviously no way of knowing how much income you will make for that year.

If you don't meet LICO for 2015, refusal is guaranteed.

You can argue as much as you want to - this won't change reality.

There is no point arguing about it. IRCC will release specific income requirements and from specific previous years for applying in 2018, which you'll need to meet. You'll either meet it or you won't, so just wait until the 2018 rules are released to see.

Hi,

I applied in 2017 and waiting for sponsorship approval. I applied with family size of 5 and met income requirements with my husband as co-signer.

My question here is if we apply for in laws then our family size will be 7. So do we need to have income according to family size 7 even for the application already in process. Would that affect application already in process.

We are not applying for their sponsorship. We will be applying for super visa or visitor visa for my in laws.

Thank you for replying in advance.

Parents here on TRV or supervisa, are not being sponsored for PR so do not count in your family size.

Hello everybody. I have been reading this forum a lot for not asking a repetitive question. I hope somebody could help me.

I got my PR this year, my common-law partner sponsored me.

My partner meets the requirements for 2014,2015 and 2016. We became common law in 2016 (after one year living together).

Is it possible that he could be the co-signer for my mother or do we have to wait 2 years (when the undertaking that he signed for my sponsorship expires)?

Thank you very much in advance for reading my question and help me.

I got my PR this november 2017. I have a job currently and much above the income level. Can I sponsor my parents right away or I will need to wait for 3 years before doing so.

Easily answered by reading the basic requirements needed to sponsor.

HI GUYS,

Question, for this year I fill up form for the intention to sponsor parents, but worried about the 2015 income cut off we had 68,000 last 2015 we met the cut off for the 65,000 for 5 but plus 30% is what they said to be added we did not met. I am on Mat leave that year that is why income a bit lower.
is it necessary to add 30% ( on income ) plus the income cut off? Thank you.
