ACCA equivalency through WES!! pls help.

Hi Everyone,
I am a member of ACCA and I am about to send my ACCA certificate and transcripts for assessment to WES, I have heard that ACCA is equivalent to canadian 3 years bachelors but the problem is I have had received exemptions and only had to sit for 6 papers (the final paper of fundamental level, and all the papers of the professional level). So I am a bit worried if they would provide me with any points at all.

I will be really really grateful if someone can pls enlighten me,

I am also an ACCA member and hold BSc. in Applied accounting from OBU.

I received equivalency of 4 years bachelors each. You should receive 4 years bachelors equivalency too. The exemption part can be a problem while doing CPA as CPA requires letter from ACCA that the qualification was completed without any exemptions.

As far as getting evaluation from WES is concerned, in my opinion, you shouldn't worry.

As far as getting evaluation from WES is concerned, in my opinion, you shouldn't worry.

We never know what ACCA sends to WES in the name of transcript. Whenever i contacted them on email or call, they said that they will send the required and relevant documents to WES. They have been doing it for tons of members and i believe they have dedicated team just to manage the WES dispatches. So, It is unlikely that it will cause any issues for you.

I also had F1 to F3 exempted as i entered via CAT route but i never sent my CAT credentials to WES. Still got 4 years bachelors.

Hey James, what did you have to do to get CPA. I'm an ACCA member but with no degree. I saw MRA was a pathway but unfortunately since I didn't do a degree before I can't do that route

To get CPA via MRA route, university qualification is a must. OBU is accepted as a university qualification equivalent. So for you, the shortest and best way is to get your OBU and then apply for CPA membership. I am doing the same.

Hello Guys,
I got membership ACCA in November 2017 and still haven't received the Membership certificate. When contacted to ACCA they said it will be dispatched by 16 Feb, 2018 and it might take around 12 weeks. All this while I have been waiting for the certificate to send to WES Canada. Also I have Bsc from OBU

Can someone please guide me as to how do I go on about doing this now. Do I actually need the membership certificate to send to WES.
Please guide further if anyone with ACCA membership and Bsc OBU got WES done.

You should receive membership certificate this month as per their practice. Here is what i did after registering with WES and making payment.

1. Go to OBU online shop and purchase transcript copy. This Costs GBP 15 and extra GBP 25 if you want DHL Courier Delivery. Otherwise they will send by normal post without tracking.
2. Once Purchase is done, email them at acca@brookes.ac.uk with a copy of your passport and order number alongwith WES address and reference number. They will dispatch within 10-12 days to WES.
3. Send an Email to members@accaglobal.com with your WES reference number and ask them to send your documents to WES Canada. They will do it in 10-15 days.
4. Send Copy of your membership certificate and OBU Degree yourself to WES Canada.
