I recently just landed. I waited 11 months coming from the USA.

Why is it that June-September apps are being favoured so much? I have friends who applied in January and February who are not approved yet. Their background checks have not even started yet....

To me this seems very wrong

You can’t compare yours or anyone else’s application to another. Each one is different and requires information from various sources. Being as IRCC posted processing times (assuming you applied for spousal), 11 months is within their projected processing times. So is January and February.

I’m glad I’m not the only one stuck in this position. Although I have only been waiting a few days over 9 months. I have talked to a few people on here from the USA who are only a few days from the 12 month mark. Guess it’s just the luck of the draw. Definitely feel like my wife and I got the shitty end of the stick lol

Us too (22 more days and we will hit the 12 month mark)! Nothing we can do about it but wait! However, I am not glad that others are stuck in this position.

You are upset with 11 months I’m now waiting 15 months with all clear background history, so be thankful that you got it before the year as they have no real system of processing as Jeff say they work on what they feel to do and luck draw some get approval in 3 months some wait for over year and they say not send or disturb our sleep lol
