Does anybody know why they request FP from some applicants and not from others? Also why can't they just include it in the checklist so that everyone sends it in advance and then they could choose to scrap it or do something with it...rather than delaying applications

It is random, the question is what is the percentage? My guess is 10%

I think they have some criteria for that...my guess is probably some specific nationalities get it more often that others..

I posted that about 2 hour ago and after 1 hour , i received test date in email.

Congrats on the test invite, the FP is probably not much to worry about ..but will it introduce delay in processing?

thanks . delay is fine , I am not in rush . I am happy that within 3 month I have test date . actually its fast , as I was not expecting test date before march or April.
