Just got an email from IRCC--passport request!!

Glad to hear they finally got rid of that PPR backlog! The 1.5 month wait some people were seeing a couple of months ago was absolutely crazy. Seems like almost everybody is getting their PPR just a couple days after DM now. Exciting!

I just checked my CIC account and it says there was an update. I don't know how recent is the update since I had not checked for at least 2 weeks...
Anyways I think my background check field changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

Is that the update? I can't remember what it used to be written before that...
I think something along the lines "We will send you a message when we start processing your BG check..." But I didn't get any message.

Woohoo! So things finally seem to be moving on... Hopefully this stage won't last too long.

Whoa, my ECAS just changed to “in process” this morning. Anyone else whose BGC just started, did your ECAS change as well? I didn’t think Mississauga people ever got that message

Im not sure if it is relevant, but first we got email of being processed in Mississauga, then received an email of transfer to Vienna and like 3 days later got In Process in our ecas. And now received a pre-arrival services email.

I don't know if ours went to "In Process"... I checked ECAS on Dec. 17 at it still said "Application Received." I didn't check on the 18th. But when I checked on the 19th, it said "Decision Made" and a second line had been added: "We began processing your application on December 18, 2017." I bet you'll get more movement by tomorrow!

But when I checked on the 19th, it said "Decision Made" and a second line had been added: "We began processing your application on December 18, 2017." I bet you'll get more movement by tomorrow!

Omg, if I got DM tomorrow I would die. LOL. That would be waaaayy too fast! Less than 5 months!

Heck, I don't care if the processing takes a few more months from here - at the outset I was kind of hoping for March/April, so anything before that is just a bonus. I'm just happy to see updates and movement, sooo exciting!

I went to check and they talk about free services to settle down in Canada. So I went to checked in eCAS and it says Decision Made.

Is it mostly a positive answer?!

Oh my gosh!!! Congratulations!
Yes, you can be certain it is positive if you have not been called for an interview or received a procedural fairness letter (asking for more proof to support your application).
Wow, you are August 8th?? That is absolutely amazing. I'm going to be checking my ECAS like crazy now!
