Yes my daughter's last name is after her biological father, 8years old now pero da time I went to dswd she is only 6 turning 7 which here in ph 7yrs below child in under by her mothers custody, yes she is going with me, written explnation regarding y I am not able to submit the imm5604 story when our relationship started and last. Yes I included sa written exlanation na I seek legal advice for it submit them affidavit of 2 disinterested person + I went to dswd to ask for help they issued me solo parent id and a xerox copy of their R.A. regarding child custody wala sila maibibigay n help kundi pa stampan mo lng sa munisipyo pra supporting documents n nanggaling k tlga sa knila.

Kung nka apelido xa sau nothing to worry about !!! :)

Hi Mariechan,
I'd been trying to research posts regarding this. I am in the same situation. Have an illegitimate child and we included my child in our application. We submitted affidavit explaining my history with the father with supporting documents of copies of Philippine law re:custody of illegitimate children + DSWD advisory on travelling children, but CIC is still asking for the custody/court order. We then had a lawyer write a letter explaining the Philippine law re:custody of illegitimate children per our law here. We haven't heard back from CIC since.

Just to clarify, they accepted your application without insisting of getting the child consent with just the affidavit and explanation and supporting docs from DSWD? Im really worried coz we haven't heard back from them. And for sure I will not be able to get the father's consent. We don't want to go to court as much as possible as that will take a very long time. Hope to hear back from you. TIA.

i don't think anyone is supposed to take any child with his/her father's name out of the country without his consent, right? especially if the father's name is in the birth certificate. it would be unfair on the part of the father if his child is gone without him knowing.

you would need a court order for things like this.

Sadly, I agree with you. It's the legal thing to do. Legal does not always equal convenient though, lalo na sa mga single parents before like me.

Ang laking stress nawala from me when my children's father signed the form of consent. Ako na nangarir ng mga ID niya para lang magkacopya. Ako rin nagpaNotaryo. Pinakain pa ng nanay ko .

I thought I posted here earlier; but I posted in the old thread, so re-posting here.
Am still hoping that someone from here is taking the same flight :)

Patience my dear friends.
Even the people who have their visas now have endured some hardships and frustration.
Keep the faith and keep on praying. God will give it to you at just the right time.
In our case, the day we talked and agreed to not stress about it because it will come when it comes is when we received PPR.
It was great a sigh of relief when it came, but then came the preparations :)

I can't wait for wifey to fly in from Manila right before the new year :)
I asked this before but maybe will have better luck this time: Anybody flying on PR 118 Direct MNL to Toronto on Dec 30?
Please msg me. Will be happy to connect.
Thanks.

Just received the pre-arrival letter po kanina. Exactly 2 months today after medical nagparamdam si MVO.
Sana tuluy tuloy na po pagpaparamdam nya. Pero mukhang next year na talaga hinihintay natin. :)
