i have couple of fixed deposits joint with my mother. i would like to show it as proof of funds. what should i do?

1. consent letter from mother stating that i am free to use these funds any time
or 2. an affidavit stating that these funds are gift to me
or 3. i can not use it

However received a reminder of the same request a week later.

Documents ready to upload however there are now 2 placeholders to upload documents.

Is this correct? Do I upload the same documents twice?

Hello all,

I ordered gcms notes a month ago and received those recently.

My AOR is January 2016. Background check or ss is in progress since July 2016.
My medicals expired about one year ago.

But I noticed something in my recent gcms notes.

Under NOTES, one of the notes from late October reads: "New medicals required for all applicants"

However, I have not received any request for medicals so far.

Does this mean that my application is now progressing and I am near PPR?

This is regarding my proof of funds. I have a fixed deposit from like two years. But on 31.07.2017 I had to uplift it and place it again by adding my wife and mother. Then again I uplifted on 31.10.2017 and removed my mother from the deposit for proof of funds. Now it is only under me and my wife.

I have deposit certificates of both "31.07.17 to 31.10.17" and 31.10.17 to 31.01.18".

Will these certificates be sufficient along with bank confirmation?
Will my mother being on one certificate create an issue?
The FD is for 03 months, and by the time the immi officer reviews, it would have auto renewed. would this be a problem?

total of four SS activity has been provided , however for one of them highlighted is Not started , rest all have been retracted. Please provide your guidance and help us if there is anything to worry. Iam wondering why Iam put in SS , as I have very less travel history (only thing I traveled thrice to Afghanistan, Kabul under business visa for IT consulting.

Today i received a request letter asking for Travel info both for me and my wife . it said the details need to be uploaded in 7 days in IMM5562E. It followed,

"Travel History Info Form: Information on your previous travel history (trip duration and purpose) including citizenship and resident document information".


I am sure i have added all the travel details correctly (except travel to my home country and residence country) in the E-APR.

could you please advise on this ?

When the IRCC officer has any doubts, they will ask for a new form. Just fill it and send it. Just make sure that you account for all of your travels.

I understand now, if they have concern, they can do anything and anything is possible deviating to standards, sure! all depends upon discretion of VO. Fingers crossed, who knows..let's see how GCMS notes comes up...strange is today my university HR informed me that they tried to reach out to IRCC on their end (as I requested them to follow up), but IRCC is not able to give them a status update on my work permit application.

This is the nature of bureaucracy with the agencies. All you can do it wait and hope to receive the GCMS notes soon.

@legalfalcon I have already ordered gcms notes three times this year and all of them are same except for the notes about my follow-up and a note in late October saying "New meds required".

my medical has been expired since December 2016. So does this new note mean that application is progressing?

If there is a new note for the medicals, then your file was picked by someone. Did you receive a request for new medicals?

All you need is an affidavit from your mother affirming that she has no objection in you using the funds for the purpose of settlement in Canada. You do not need a gift deed as you already are a join holder of the FDs.

Just upload the same document in both the placeholders and send it. Its just a system glitch.

If your eligibility passed? If it is you are close.

Until you get a request from IRCC for the medicals, no need to get them. In some cases they will just renew the existing medicals for a year.

No, this is fine, no need to worry.
