Hi @legalfalcon I am just wondering if you get a chance to review the record? Another week had passed and we haven't heard anything from IRCC.I am sorry, I could now. I am in the US until Tuesday, as soon as I am back, will revert back to you.

Hi @legalfalconPlease send me a PM with your questing and what your info.
Dear @legalfalcon,For WP there is no SS. However, at the discretion of IRCC, they can send files to CBSA and CSIS for review. Since the turnaround time for WP is fast, there is no hold over on WP application.
GCMS will definitely give you an insight, no harm in ordering it.
They applied for a visitor visa, attended an interview and subsequently received a procedural fairness for inadmissibility. I was not a part of the application since I am already in Canada. Can you please provide more details? When did your family apply, were you a part of the application, under what program did they apply?

If IRCC has concerns, they can send your application for additional checks. Background checks can include SS. They can also include checks with the institution requesting WP etc.Dear @legalfalcon,
As you said before for WP there's no SS.
I raised CSE to VO-Rome, today they replied me about status updates, following is their reply:
This is to advise you that your application is still undergoing background checks and we do not have a timeframe of when it will be finalized.
Does this obvious that my Post-Doc LMIA-Exempted Work Permit is undergoing through BG check or SS? Besides, it contradicts to normal trends of WP processings as oppose to EE standard phases. underground background checks means = local internal VO bg checks or SS?
Further ordered GCMS notes, let's see! but I need your opinion upon their reply. As I am worried this BG check may prolong further the time, besides already +10 weeks passed since applied.

Can they also withdraw the application at the procedural fairness stage?
Hi @legalfalcon and everyone on this thread,
I called IRCC today to get the status of my application. The agent on line told me that application is still under process and asked me to call again to get the status of my application if I don't hear from them by the end of next month.
Should I hope that they are going to make a decision about my application by that time OR is this something that they tell everybody who calls them?
Check pm @legalfalcon
I understand now, if they have concern, they can do anything and anything is possible deviating to standards, sure! all depends upon discretion of VO. Fingers crossed, who knows..let's see how GCMS notes comes up...strange is today my university HR informed me that they tried to reach out to IRCC on their end (as I requested them to follow up), but IRCC is not able to give them a status update on my work permit application. If IRCC has concerns, they can send your application for additional checks. Background checks can include SS. They can also include checks with the institution requesting WP etc.
Get well Soon.....Take care...I have been sick for the last 2 days, will get back to the PMs. I have 25 of them sitting there.
@legalfalcon I have already ordered gcms notes three times this year and all of them are same except for the notes about my follow-up and a note in late October saying "New meds required".When you call only limited information is provided as in what was told to you. Instead you can request GCMS notes which will have a more detailed record and notes of the agents processing your application.
