Hi everyone, hope you can help me with some questions I have. I have received an ITA and am close to submitting my application.
I will need/should provide a Letter of Explanation for a few things:
Would really appreciate if you guys can help shed some light on these minor, but crucial, details. Thanks.
I will need/should provide a Letter of Explanation for a few things:
- Police Certificate 1: again, like many here, I am waiting on the FBI to get through to mine. I will be attaching the forms I sent, the DHL slip, the DHL tracking to show that it has arrived. Should I include anything else?
- Police Certificate 2: I need another police certificate but it's from a country where I need the request letter from Canadian immigration. So I should just follow the instructions for this on the IRCC website yes?
- Employment Details: One of the companies I used to work at (that I'm using to qualify for points) has closed down the office in my country (but still has offices open in other countries). I managed to track down one of my former bosses who still works for the company in another office to write an employment letter. However, the letter head he used lists an address that is in a different country from where I worked. Should I include an explanation for this discrepancy?
- Letter of Financial Standing: the letter I obtained from my bank included everything except the average balance for the past six months, which they said they were unable to provide. I do have a bank passbook that I update regularly that shows all transactions for at least a year. Would I be able to include this as proof?
- Passports: Do I only need to include my current passport? I have kept copies of all my expired passports. My current passport only provides stamps for part of the period covered by what I filled in for my "Personal History".
- Should I write a single Letter of Explanation regarding all the above or separate ones? And do I upload the LoEs under the "Other Documents" or with the relevant documents?
Would really appreciate if you guys can help shed some light on these minor, but crucial, details. Thanks.
