Employment letter instead of experience letter?

Seniors,

My situation is like this

1. Company A ( 3 years 6 months - India)
2. Company B ( 5 years 7 months - India and USA on H1B) - current employer

I have claimed both experiences while creating EE profile and I am getting a detailed experience letter from my first employer A.

My question is:

1. I'm still working with company B and plan to continue also. I can get an employment letter from company B in US which show my whole tenure starting from India, my current salary, full-time employment clause, address and passport details. Can I use this letter as a proof? I can add offer letter, promotion letter, deputation to USA letter, H1B visa and payslips including tax documents to support my case.

Is this possible? Or I will have to request a formal reference letter with rules and responsibilities? It is not a practice for my company unless you resign.

or on a worst case, shall I remove the work history section for company B and keep it under personal history? Will this work?, since I already put it as a part of EE profile and now I'm filling details after ITA.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

You need a letter that specifies job responsibilities. It's required by CIC. That's how they assess if your work experience matches the NOC
You can move it to personal history, just keep in mind if you do that your CRS might drop and if it falls below the cutoff your application will be rejected.

You have to get a letter that explains your job responsibilities clearly. My PR was refused because I couldn't provide a detailed letter!.

@ContactFront Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I have checked the CRS tool and there is no score change since the maximum value that I can select for the question "In the last 10 years, how many total years of skilled work experience do you have?" is "3 years or more". No other parameters are changed.

Since I fulfill the criteria "36+ months of foreign work experience with all first official language abilities CLB 9 or higher - 50 points", which awards me 50 points with the first company experience itself, I think it is safe to move the current experience to personal history.

If this is the case, do you think it will be a good move to change the current experience to personal history?

Bumping.... any comments?
Yes, you can place any other work experience to personal history, since your crs score will not change. I have done this myself.

Be sure that you have also the necessary points in eligibility criteria (67 out of 100), because with 3 years exp. you get 11, with 6 years - 15 points.

While your CRS is not getting impacted, also check if you meet the FSW eligibility criteria, i.e. how many years of work experience do you need to reach a min of 67 points out of 100.

I have 2.5 years Canada work experience. Worked on WP (through ICT). Can I show this 2.5 years for scoring 10 points in Adaptability in FSWP?

Well, as per the six selection factors for FSW, these are the items in which I get points:
  1. Language points - first official -CLB level 9 or higher (24 points)
  2. Education - University degree at the Master’s level or equal (23 points)
  3. Age (18-35) (12 points)
  4. Adaptability - spouse or partner’s language level - CLB 4 level or higher (5 points)
So I think I secure 64 points without experience category and I can show 42 months experience from the first employer which should give me 11 points. And this experience is in the last 10 years.

What do you think? I should be OK in that case, right? I really really don't want to go to my current employer asking for this. :)

Thanks, @PVPal, I have replied to fotjon with my current calculations. What do you think?

Hi,

I have been working for my company for the past 10+ years. I have worked in India for 3 years in India, 6 years in US and now 1+ year in Canada with different designations. Do I have to list all work experiences in Work History(I feel this is the way to go) and produce one or 3 reference letters?

@bibinpanicker I'm currently preparing my application and based on the info I collected, I will say stick to the minimum required as well as the easiest to get experience letter/pay slips. Keep all the info in personal history anyway. Show only what you are claiming points for.
