I am from St.Lucia and my husband is first Nations Canadian. He is sponsoring me. We applied in 2015 and I was denied.We sent in our application the second time October 28 2017. I haven't heard anything from immigration. Do they email my husband who is sponsoring me or do they email me about our AOR ? We put both our emails on the application since we are not using a lawyer and would like the emails to come directly to us

Thank you . Its very frustrating. Cried like a baby the first time. The reason my application was denied is the immigration officer at the visa office in Trinidad my marriage date wrong and she asked me in email a few weeks later and i sent her my marriage license and corrected but she didnt care

Mine has also been transferred to CPC Mississauga. I looked at that thread, but couldn’t see anything in to why it gets processed there and not London, where I assume mine would be.

Is it quicker? Does anyone know why?

It doesn't say anything in that thread about why. But when I searched some more on other sites, some say you are processed in Mississauga when the VO has too many cases, etc. It may be sent to the VO after a few months when they have more room. I live in Austria and I just assumed I was the Vienna office but no...

i would recommend you update your info on the spreadsheet also as its a good tool for all of us to keep track of how long each step of the process can take.

my app was received by CIC according to Canada post on Oct 17th.

The message is basically explaining that the file has been transferred.

Here is what the email says:

Dear Sir/Madam,
This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on behalf of YOUR SPOUSE and family (if applicable).
This message is being sent to confirm that the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to the visa office in COUNTRY for further processing.
