Yes, you need to submit colour copies of the certified translation and original police certificate
Another question - does the copy of "original police certificate" should be notarized as a "true copy" or a copy of apostille on the back is good enough ?

I just got an email that the application will be processed at CPC Mississauga. Does it not usually get sent to the visa office for processing?

It's not uncommon that it stays at Mississauga for entire process. No real rhyme or reason why. Whether its overflow, circumstances, case type.. Nobody REALLY knows.

There's a whole thread for those that this applies to.

Congratulations. I am Oct 23rd as well and still nothing :( getting worried

Mine received October 25th and nothing yet.

Some September applicants don't even have AOR yet.

Try not to worry (difficult I know!)

I would like some clarification from someone who has already submitted their police certificate that was originally not in English.
We need to get the police certificate translated by one of the accepted ways. But is there any need for certified copies in this process ? As we are submitting the original scanned police document /it’s translation ?

We submitted a color photocopy of the original police certificate in Bosnian, in the instructions it did not say that this original police certificate had to be notarized. In the same document we added the certified translation into English of the police certificate. I think you need the translation notarized if the translator is not a certified translator. I believe the CIC has country specific information on this on their website. You can take a look at that too.

Mine has also been transferred to CPC Mississauga. I looked at that thread, but couldn’t see anything in to why it gets processed there and not London, where I assume mine would be.

Is it quicker? Does anyone know why?

Depends on backlogs and workloads of offices

I've uploaded scanns of originals in color and translated certificates (notarized and translated). Hope this is okay...

Thanks for the quick reply, that’s what I was thinking! :) I’ve already taken a look and for our country(Nicaragua) the police certificate needs to be taken to the Supreme Court to be certified there before submitting.

Yes they seem to have different requirements for different countries. :) good luck with the rest of the process!

I think it’s like what we did. Submitted on November 24th, I suppose if they need originals (which they can request sometimes) we’ll hear from them :)

I am from St.Lucia and my husband is first Nations Canadian. He is sponsoring me. We applied in 2015 and I was denied. We sent in our application the second time October 28 2017. I haven't heard anything from immigration. Do they email my husband who is sponsoring me or do they email me about our AOR ? We put both our emails on the application since we are not using a lawyer and would like the emails to come directly to us
