Hi....
Can anybody please give me some information about work progress in Rome VO, I applied for a private sponsorship of a refugee and my file was sent to Rome, I just want to know how long does it take to process this kind of application in Rome VO.
If anyone can help me I will be very thankful.

If you used UPS i can tell you that once it gets to rome, you just need to keep checking the tracking number for your prepaid envelope, because they never emailed me to say visa is ready for pick up...once my application was closed and approved on my cic, the day after the tracking number was active, so they realeased without emailing me hope it helps!

Thanks for detailed elaboration. I also submitted online my post-doc WP application on 08-October-2017 from Milan, and performed biometrics at VFS-Rome on 09-Oct-2017, currently my application is at VO-Rome and in IP2 phase, I suppose.

I am expecting PPR this month, in anticipation I wanted to ask you, once I receive PPR email from VO-Rome, should I send my passport via UPS with UPS Return Service (Prepaid enclosed envelope) directly to VO Rome? Or should I send via VFS-Rome? I mean can I bypass VFS-Rome and send directly the passport to VO-Rome with prepaid return envelope?

Hi there,
We applied for my husbands PR in June 2016. He's currently in Cyprus but is from Iran.

We had additional documents and his medical requested in Nov 2016
Didn't hear anything until a few days ago when they informally requested his passport and an updated police certificate, and a return courier envelope...
Does this mean that we're nearing the end of our waiting or is there still much more to go?
My MP advised that his eligibility is passed so I'm just not really sure what to expect from here.
Any info from personal experiences with this office would be amazing. Thanks in advance

Anyone knows anything about Rome VO Area trips ?
I am currently waiting for my application to be finalized in Sudan and there is an area trip to Sudan on January, what if I didn't do my interview at January, does it means that I'll have to wait for the next area trip ???
What if the only came once a year !!

I checked processing times on CIC, it says 14 months, though I read they shortened processing times to 12 months (80%). I was approved for sponsorship in Mississauga on June 28 and Rome requested medical June 29th. So far it just says medical received. Anyone else submit their application in June 2017? Thank you

Yes we applied June 2017. SA, medical all have been approved but there has been no movement on our file with the Rome VO since September 2017. Hoping to hear good news soon!!

Hi all, my AOR date is 20 November 2017, fswo. my file moved to Rome visa office sometime after 9th of January 2018. No movement since then...let's hope Rome will move faster this year!

I applied in May 2017, done the medical and background check in June. My application to sponsor my wife was forwarded to the visa office in Rome in September 2017 and have not heard anything since!!
