It is better to consult with a immigration lawyer to figure out if there are preconditions which you should meet(as part of your AEO deal). It is better to know what the conditions are and if there is any reasonable explanation that you can provide for "why you did not work for AEO-employer". I am not aware of any such conditions.

Arranged employment opinion.

Hello!
So happy to find this thread. I only just noticed they changed the forms, so I’ve been working like mad to get everything ready since I have about 1500 days.

Please can someone help with a few questions;

Is there a validate button? I know I’ve found issues with my Mac and now using a windows computer but I still don’t see a Validate button! Is there a Validate button? For the Barcodes?

Do I need to get my photocopied documents notarized?

Also the calculator seems to be calculating my vacation days as half a day rather than a full day? I have so many days it shouldn’t be an issue but it doesn’t seem correct since I was out of the country.

I can’t wait until this immigration process is over!!

There's no validate button on the forms, hence no barcodes. Make sure your form has the correct date on it, at the bottom left of every page like 10-2017 for October 2017. Always use the latest forms.
Days prior to when you were a PR and still present in Canada (study permit, work permit etc) are counted as half days in the last 5 years.

Ok good to know, I’ve been trying to find the validate button and playing around with Adobe for awhile lol.

The calculator for the days I have been out of the country has been calculating half days. I might just try to make a new calculation to see if it fixes it.

Any word on if the photocopies of documents such as passports need to be notarized?

Documents in English/French do not need to be notarized. Only if the document requires a translation .. it needs to be notarized. See below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/CIT0002ETOC.asp

Translation of documents
You must send the following for any document that is not in English or French:

  • the English or French translation; and
  • an affidavit from the person who completed the translation (see below for details); and
  • a certified copy of the original document.
Translations may be done by a person who is fluent in both languages (English or French and the unofficial language).

If the translation isn’t done by a member in good standing of a provincial or territorial organization of translators and interpreters in Canada, you must submit an affidavit swearing to the accuracy of the translation and the language proficiency of the translator. A certified translator will provide both a certified translation and certified copies of the original documents.

The affidavit must be sworn in the presence of:

In Canada:

  • a notary public
  • a commissioner of oaths
  • a commissioner of taking affidavits
Authority to certify varies by province and territory. Consult your local provincial or territorial authorities.

Outside of Canada:

  • a notary public
Authority to administer oaths varies by country. Consult your local authorities.

Important information: Translations must not be done by the applicants themselves nor by members of the applicant’s family. This includes a parent, guardian, sibling, spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner, grandparent, child, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew and first cousin.

Note: An affidavit is a document on which the translator has sworn, in the presence of a person authorized to administer oaths in the country where the translator is living, that the contents of their translation are a true translation and representation of the contents of the original document. Translators who are certified in Canada don’t need to supply an affidavit.

Personally, I don't think that's a big deal. Just use the webform after you get AOR and inform them if you're really worried about it.
