Help! I didn't follow the instructions when sending my passport.

I am a inland visitor visa applicant. I received passport request on Nov.3 2017, then I sent my passport, letter of request, and return envelop on the same day through Xpresspost. Right now the tracking information showed that the package was delivered on Nov 6, 2017. So far, I did not receive any update on my application.

Yesterday when I reviewed the mailing information, I found I have chosen wrong address to send. According to the instructions, if I choose Xpresspost, I should use "CPP- OTTAWA PO Box 9640 Ottawa, ON, K1G 6T2" as the deliver-to address, but I used "CPP- OTTAWA Temporary Resident Visa Section 365 Laurier Avenue West OTTAWA, ON, K1A 1L1" which is used for private courier only.

I am so stupid to make such mistake. Does anyone have any idea about how cic will do with strange package? I left them a message through enquiries. Is there more i can do? I am so stressful now.

It's fine. CPP Ottawa received it safely. It's happened many times to other users on this forum.

The addresses are only different because private couriers don't accept PO boxes like Canada Post.

Hi I’m sorry I ask this here I don’t know where, the instructions for sending your passport were in an attachment in the mail? I’ve received a mail but it doesn’t say where to send it.
