Hi guys,

Would like to share my timeline with you all.

I sponsored my wife from Sri Lanka.
Visa Office: Colombo

Medical done: 10/Nov/2016.
Application sent: 26/Dec/2016.
Application Received: 03/Jan/2017.
Forwarded to Colombo: 25/Jan/2017.
Sponsorship Approval: 25/Jan/2017.
PPR: 20/Oct/2017.
Arrived: 04/Nov/2017.

Do the VO really call o the applicamts work place?

no. they don't call.. its not a requirement to have employment to sponsor spouse.. people on welfare has sponsored their spouse.. its only required that the sponsor would be financially responsible for the principal applicant once they arrive here for 3 years.

they also check against your sin number to see if your employment matches what you are giving, and check with revenue to make sure you don't have outstanding debt to the government.. .default on taxes etc.
