Thank you so much for your help!! I was thinking of it, too. so i got the request email for my police certificate& schedule A on Aug,30,2017, and I submitted them on Oct, 28, 2017. It is almost delayed for 2 months. That might be the reason why I still hasnt got Aor2 even I have already passed medical exam on GCKEY
When CIC sends out Schedule A & PCC requests they alway give you a deadline for these documents. Our deadline was 1 month and 7 days after we got the request. I don't know if everybody gets about a month to submit their Schedule A & PCC(s), but 2 months seems like it could have been past your due date. You should double check your Schedule A & PCC request letter and see if your deadline is before October 28. I hope thats not the case.

It doesn't matter if you take longer to send in your PCCs although it's good if you let them know.

We got the medical request email at Sep,01,2017 and finished it on Nov,02, 2017. CIC still passed my medical exam on Nov,8 2018 on GCkey. I uploaded my schedule A& police certificate on Oct,28,2017 on GCKEY before I did my medical exam, and it showed "read" on Nov, 08, 2017. It looks good right now. The only thing we havent got yet is aor2 and vo.

From what I've read in this forum, most people who are not able to submit these documents on time notify CIC about the impending delay prior to the deadline date. Is it ok to submit the documents after assigned deadline date AND not notify CIC about the delay?

I have a friend who missed their due date completely because of a circumstance out of her control. their representative didn't link the application until about 7 months in, and they basically got an email saying "last call for (whatever it was we want) before we assume you dropped the application and withdraw it from processing."
No idea about timelines, but you should just notify them about a delay if you even think they'll receive it a week before the 'due date' Just to be safe. It's not like they're going to do anything if they receive it sooner.
That being said, that's different from different situations.
so if you're mailing it out a couple days before. or you won't get it there in time. just soot them an email basically saying "Hi, we sent it and it should be there anytime after xx/xx/xxxx but before xx/xx/xxx. give them an idea."
If you have no clue or it will take quite some time, like a non-US citizen ordering FBI background check. I would just send an email saying "hi, we won't be able to send it out by the due date. The prospective date for when we receive them is ~3 months, and as soon as we have it, we will notify you that it's on its way."
Just keep them updated. They're people. They're not robots. there's no secret way to talk to them in this respect. and I'm sure they appreciate more information in regards to requests and why you can't give it to them vs. keeping them in the dark.
-lol not that it goes both ways in that respect.

Yah that's what I think too. I totally agree with you. I wasn't asking for myself. It was part of an ongoing conversation that begin's with @iris19950711's questions on the previous page. Bafonso's post stating "It doesn't matter if you take longer to send in your PCCs although it's good if you let them know" just got me curious about what happens when you submit your requested documents after the deadline AND fail to notify CIC about the delay. So what happened to your friend's application then? Did everything proceed as normal afterwards?

Prove it.
LOL i got the very similar situation here too. The reason we submit everything late is because our representatives did not tell us that she has received emails from CIC. The good thing is we called CIC in Oct, 28, 2017 and finally got all of info and emails we missed, and ofc we canceled our representative on the phone, too. They still processed my medical exam and schedule A after 2 months delay, im happy about that :)

Honestly, what I've learned from this site, doing my own research, and talking to people who HAVE used a representative. Don't do it.
If you have a straightforward application, don't do it. Use a rep if you got a crime on your record, use a rep if you have any red flags that are going to REALLY count against.
But for the majority of us, especially Americans going to Canada, don't bother. FOR SURE have a lawyer look over it to make sure that it's filled out correctly and there isn't anything you put down that isn't technically 'wrong' but will raise questions.
for ex. I'm a student but I also work. So I put down my actual job under 'occupation' and the lawyer said "def don't do that.. put student. if you put anything else they'll think you're here to work and it can raise some questions and halt processing."
probably not, but good advice.
that was the only thing he had for use other than putting the hyphen in my middle names vs not having it in one place.
Also remember to sleep a lot and drink water. Those are also important things when going through this cause I def didn't sleep a couple times due to stress and relied on coffee and got dehydrated and passed out after being told that I was probably going to deported (incorrectly by someone I shouldn't have trusted) because I was on edge from worrying.
but like I've stated before, I have no chill.
I have high functioning anxiety.

I didn't mean to disappear off the face of the earth for 7 months. Why not let CIC know, all you need is to submit an online msg to them, is that so hard? Of course you can choose not to notify them but I don't understand why would anyone do that. 7 months is twice the time it takes to get a PCC from FBI so it is indeed normal they would wonder if you even care about the app anymore if you can't be bothered to keep a channel of communication.

Right?
There was a point in this process where I would have driven to Ottawa to actually talk to these people. Who on earth would choose not to communicate with them if given the chance?
