long distance relationships are very common for filipino people. especially since most of us work abroad. the best way for us to prove genuine relationship is tons of letters and a list of all facebook/skype calls with timestamp. i talk to my wife minimum 3 times a day in a facetime video call. make no mistake, i log that s**t and make sure i have enough proof to show we actually talk and see each other even though we are far away. since plane ticket is very expensive, i can only go back to philippines once every 2 years.
We have tons of those, we skype every day as well, for many hours. I'll just gather all the proof I can, then rock that interview. I hope they don't make a big deal about me not having a wedding ring (neither of us have one yet, although I gave my wife an engagement ring). Maybe they won't even notice that. Anyway, there's a simple explanation for that too.

dude just buy a ring. lol. it helps a ton. my ring costs $75. it's special tho since it is harder than most metals and the inside lights up when it's dark.

when we got married, filipino tradition dictates that there should be rings. so me and my wife went and bought like those candy lollipop rings and used that for the wedding. we even captured that in video and pictures. lol. nobody minds.

i hate jewelry that's why i don't take it too seriously. but even then i bought my wife a $20,000 engagement ring. only the best for the best, am i right?

I'm not going to buy a ring just to show them that I have a wedding ring. My wife and I will buy them once I'm there with her in Canada.

Can i just give you an advise? Since you showed up in this forum you always trow derogatory comments about people cases and boasting how much solid and straight forward your case was when you gave your opinion for people that were interviewed. I even saw one of your arrogant comments towards someone who had a difficulty to write perfect english. So this is life giving you a lesson, well, i would say, a big slap on your face. Try to be a little humbble, less arrogant and perhaps maybe things will go better and karma will hit you less. Peace!

Strongly disagree. You don't know me in the slightest and you have taken things out of context.

Just to add to the other comment having an interview means the agent think your relation in not genuine in most cases they refuse the application good luck and try to listen to other peoples advice

Mine was transferred to Nairobi VO on Sep 21, 2017. But haven't heard anything from them yet.

3 months ? Wow
When to involve MP? You can do that if seniors advice you that. Ask them what's going on with your application.

LVO averages seven to nine months, it's really not uncommon. Check the LVO outland thread for timelines

Guys I need help. I am a July applicant. CIC gave me the deadline of October 1st to upload my police clearance and Schedule A. However I did not have my police clearance by then so I just uploaded the receipts and tracking numbers. Now I have my police clearance form my home country. I am still waiting for the police clearance from the country that I am living. But, there is no place to upload anymore in my account in their website. Should I contact cic or wait? My worry is that my police clearance has a expiry day.

If your police certificate has an expiry date on it, you can ignore it. For CIC's purposes, the expiry does not matter. It just needs to be issued after you left that country (if you are no longer living there) or be no older than six months prior to you submitting your app (if you are still living there)

You should submit a color scan through the IRCC webform as a case specific inquiry. If you still have the PCC request letter that was in your Gckey, it should mention that in there :)
