Hello Everyone, I’m a Jan 2017 applicant. I had e-mailed LVO and was informed that an integrated search was completed and they do believe my husband and I are a bonafide couple. However, nothing was changed on MyCIC. What does that mean? What’s next?

Hi , I submitted my application on 4 july2017 they recived on 10 july 2017 i got AOR on 14 august on 15 august i got sponsor eligibility approval and linked my account on 15 august on 31 august they asked me to submit the medical results and on 5 September they ask to submit the PCC and scadule A from medical is passed on 15 September and documents were submitted on 15 September on 12 oct my GCkey show background is in process and on 16 oct i got a email that application is transferred to London. And on 19 oct my ecas says visa office stat processing .Can anyone tell me what is the next step and how much time i will take

I didn't know the applicant was requested to bring/show funds when approved under the Family Class application.

Fellow January 2017 outland applicant waiting for a loved one to finally get their PR approved so that we can begin our lives together in Canada! Hoping in time for a white Christmas in Canada... but we'll see if that is possible or not! A follow up chest X-ray on November 8th for my husband the applicant, and then hoping and praying that a decision made and PPR will follow soon after in time to catch our already booked December 22nd flight to Canada!

I'm also a January 11, 2017 applicant! You're not alone! We had file transfer on same day - Feb 1! Still waiting for DM and PPR! Identical time as you Did you get AOR2 and/or Background check in process yet? Our BGC started on July 24th, and just waiting for medical to pass since it wasn't requested until July 24th at the very end of the process!

hi i didn't get any AOR1 or AOR2 only sponsors approval.. already passed medical coz it is request last march 23 passed by 28 . my BGC is still in progress not yet started have you ordered notes ?

Congratulations!!! Very exciting!! Just did a 3-month follow up chest x-ray yesterday, and the panel physician said that it was good and he has no issues or concerns. Although a little unfortunate that the hospital won't transmit the new medical results for a whole week! But just relieved that we are finally in the home stretch! Hoping for a DM and PPR within a couple of weeks, since his eligibility and criminality passed back in July!

Hi everyone. CIC received our application January 30th. Sponsorship was approved shortly thereafter, and the letter we received indicated that our file would be forwarded to Ottawa from Mississauga. I called CIC last week. Our file hasn’t moved from Mississauga. We can’t link our application online, and have sent technical reports to no avail. CIC couldn’t see any new entries on their system, other than the SA. No medicals, no background checks, nothing. We were told that the file would be sent overseas possibly since it’s an Outland application and my husband is a USA citizen, but we had been told previously as well that it could be processed in Mississauga. The 12 month timeline is fast approaching, and we are getting concerned. Is anyone else in the same situation? When we called CIC, they said everything appeared fine, no cause for worry, and even though they don’t see any new updates or entries on their system does not mean they aren’t working on the file. I would think that if the file is being looked at that there would be updates on their system. Can anyone advise? This process is so confusing. Thanks!

In BC since last Sunday, as a visitor since I haven't received my PR yet. Wish they could finalize the application soon so I can start working... Moving to Victoria, BC, this weekend where I have a job as Senior Mechanical Engineer lined up.
Last communications from CIC was Feb 20th. Confirmed today with the call centre that all documents requested have been received and there is nothing I need to do at the moment. Application never left Mississauga and is supposed to be processed there from what I've been told, doesn't really seem like they have been doing anything with it for 7 months though...

Same with us, I don’t get it.

We also essentially have had no updates on our file in our GCKey account since the beginning of March, that was when eligibility went into progress (background check has been in progress since Feb 22). I pretty much gave up looking at the GCKey account ... a waste of time setting that up! At the almost 10 month mark, I am getting tired of seeing people from March and April now getting their passport requests. I know that if we hear nothing by December 15 (right before the holidays), we will have to wait until January or the 12 month mark before we hear anything. We are January 25th applicants.
