Thanks for the replies.I just want to add 2 more points here: 1) it is strange that IRCC would accept applications up to 90 days pas the signing date if one of the reasons was not for returned apps like this one
2) having said this above in point 1, it is a gray area and I wish someone could get a confirmation on how IRCC likes the returned applications to be handled by the applicants. A lawyer told me that he thinks the returned apps must have a new date and recalculated presence day. Again these are only speculations.
This is what I would do:Hello @spyfy and other members,
Our passports, which had our immigrant visa, have been stolen together with my wallet from my car long ago and for which we did file police report. We do have copies of our old passport (luckily, i keep scan copies of my documents). We now have new passports. Question 14 (table b) asks for detail regarding the passport that was valid during the elegibility period and is no more in the possession. Shall i write something about the old (Stolen) passport? Though, I listed both of my passport under 14(a). Its kind of confusing as it asks for copies- so i have copies but dont have the original old one.
I know this sounds horrible but based on the residency calculator FAQ, yes, you are in fact required to enter every single day separately. Alternatively you could make a more general overview on a separate sheet an not list those trips in the calculator. But I feel like this is asking for trouble. It might take you like half a day to enter all those dates since 2014 but I would assume this saves you at least half a day of processing time if you know what I mean.Hello all
Its great to see how this group is helping each other. I have a question as well which I don't think has been addressed before.
My eligibility period is 2012/11-2017/11. I have been commuting daily from Windsor (Canada) and to Detroit (USA) for work since March 2014. Physical presence residency calculator asks to declare all same day trips back and forth to Canada ( Resulting in 0 day outside Canada). I see this topic addressed for couple of commutes in this thread but not when you are going back and forth 5 out of 7 days a week for 4 years.
Can you please share your thoughts and advise how should I enter these daily commutes for work. Should I do it for 5 days a week and start over again after weekend. I hope since every daily commute results on 0 days outside Canada I don't have to get PCC for Michigan.
Will appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

Regarding police certificate: There is no consensus in this forum if day of arrival/departure counts towards the 183 limit for police certificates. However if you in fact worked in the US every week I am pretty sure that the expect a police certificate in your application.
Hello just to be more accurate on the dates (as I commuted for work on some weekends as well). I tried to get my travel dates from he cbp website you mentioned before but it says no travel history found. I tried using both my new and old passport #. Any thoughts why? Hello friends,
1) For the travel records, I visited Dubai for a month, and from there I traveled to Pakistan for a week. So should I enter my destination as Pakistan with a one-month stopover in Dubai, or should I list the visits on a separate line?
Together with the detail under reason. Since you only left Canada once for this trip, and not twice, only one entry is required.
2) The minor document checklist is asking for the landing document, PR card copy and other two types of photographs. Is there any harm if I give these same documents for my (adult) application as well, even though they do not ask for it?
They aren't asking for it because they don't need it. Try to avoid providing documents that aren't requested because it makes the officers life harder. As soon as they enter your UCI number they have access to all your details - including your PR status.
3) On my wife's passport, she has the old passport which has a USA visa attached, one of the immigration officers in Dubai, put the exit stamped in her old passport, do I need to explain it to the officers now, or only if they ask for it?
Only when (if) they ask.
4) On the photo there is a line which says guarantor and the photo studio address. Can I leave the guarantor line blank? And just put name and date of birth?
Don't do guess work. The photo spec found on the same page as the app and docs checklist tells you exactly what you need to do - and the sizes needed. Make sure you have the correct sized pics (they recently changed), have them stamped and print the applications name on each of the two pictures.
5) I always visitied USA in the morning through the car and came back before 12am midnight back to Canada, but when I visit the I94 entry exit records website, it mentions the next day of returning to Canada. So should I enter the dates as per the i94 or should I do it as per my records?
Just enter the actual dates of travel.
6) Do we need to submit Notice of Assessment for the three years for our Taxes? Or would CIC get them from CRA themselves?
What is your status in the us?[/QUOTE]Question:Hello regarding the entry exit records at the CBP website, I am not able to retrieve my entry exit date information, not sure why, any thoughts. Thanks
Interesting. In that case i don't know why you can't get i94 history.H1B since 2014
