It’s fine for you too apply. The RO is 730 days in the first 5 years. Alternately, you can cross at a land boarder with your COPR and passport. CBSA can determine if you are a PR.

Hi,

I have a similar question; I believe you might have already answered it but just to be sure :

Is it safe to apply for a TD since I have only stayed in Canada for a few days out of 2 months? Does the 730 day requirement only apply for people who may have received their PR more than 3 years ago?

Since you did your landing only a few months before so number of days of stay doesn't matter. But report honestly the number of days you were in Canada. Check for processing time to get the PR TD. You can even fly to the nearest border city to Canada and take a rent a car or ask a friend to pick you up from US and present the CoPR paper at the Canada border agents.

I had another question. In the PRTD checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5529ETOC.asp checklist: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5627E.pdf) they have mentioned that 2 proofs of PR needs to be provided. I have the CoPR and the single entry PR visa which is now canceled. I also have my SIN printout. What all proofs are acceptable?
