Hi, unfortunately nobody can tell you that. On the CIC website they say it should be within 12 months from start to finish. But on the bright side: few applicants from Vienna got their PPR around 7 months in total. So hopefully same trend applies to you. Good luck!

My status just turned to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." today. How many days passed between receiving this message and getting DM for all of you going through Vienna?

Did you receive an Invitation to Pre-arrival services few days before you got DM by any chance? I just got this message detailing the services we entitled to in order to prepare my wife's arrival.

Nope. I’m not even sure what that is. My husband actually received a call from Vienna VI informing him that he was granted PR and had to land in one month before Medicals expire. He got the call even before the status changed online. It definitely doesn’t seem like the normal course of action but who knows.... I’m sure you are nearing the end of this journey. Good luck!

Hi everyone,
I applaid for my husband`s on Jun 30,2017...
I am in Canada,he is in Serbia.
Avg 1,2017 i get an email that they recived our appl....
Avg 4,2017 they asked for Backround Check,
Avg 10,2017 asked for medical exam,he did right a way
Avg 19,2017 got a message -meddical exam passed
Avg 21,2017 out application is in Vienna....
...and now stil waiting.
Did someone know how along takes for final decision for us who are in Vienna Office?

Hello Guys, I have got request to submit my passport to Vienna office. I am in USA and applied for PR from USA only. Did anyone send their Passport from USA to Vienna? What is the best way to submit the Passports?

I had applied in sep 2015 and my husband had an interview in feb 2016 had past and came to canada. He was in bosnia and i am in canada.i have a friend who got married to girl from canada and he is from serbia took them 2 years he just came this may of 2017

Mine changed for BGC: not applicable.
When was your file transferred to Vienna? Mine was transferred on may 10, 2017. So I'm guessing they are probably working on our files as of now since our BGC status changed.

Also, anybody knows how long after their BGC status changed to DM?

Mine still says that they are processing it - however my MP called the Vienna office and found out that both security and criminality checks have been completed and that all that they have left to do is the final review, which should be complete any day now.
My file was transferred on June 30th, 2017.

Thats really good! Congrats you must be excited. Hopefully you get your decision soon. Which number did he call to speak to Vienna? I tried to call CIC but they said they don't have access to my file since it's been transferred to Vienna. Also, what does MP stand for

Thank you, I truly hope so too! I got the same response when speaking with CIC myself, which is why I reached out to my MP in the dirt place! MP stands for Member of Parliament - so what you can do is email your MP, explain your situation, and ask if they can help you find out more information about your file. From their end, they can contact the visa office directly (Vienna) and find out the exact status of the application. This is how you can find out exactly what steps are left for your application to be completed
