Good evening Friends, if i am waiting my ppr ( within coming 2 months ) , is it okay to apply at US DV program as well?
Is there any chance that during background checking of it's known that i applied for US DV program so they will cancel or reject my file?

Good morning ,
Quick question.
Our university is taking so long to get diplomas, everytime we call or go over they tell us it’s at the “wezara” it’s been a month!!
I read on WES site that if it’s not properly stamped on the closing flap it will be rejected.
Can someone please tell me exactly what you did or told your universities to do with your diplomas to be sent to WES and be accepted???
Thank you.

Yes , I know.. so pnp would be our best bet?? I have an impression that no one gets nominated.
you CAN get nominated, I believe its a good route
Just create the profile and wait, I believe nomination depends on your NOC , but I dont know for sure
if a province needs your NOC job, they'll send you invitation on your express entry profile

Best of luck
what are your NOCs ? professions ?

My husband is the main applicant, his NOC is 5241 .(b)
Thanks for your reply.
I’d like to ask another question though:
How long did it take you to get your diploma from your university in egypt.
We went to IAEMS (el entag el e3lamy)
They are super unprofessional and I’m so afraid they won’t sign and seal documents properly... it’s been 5 weeks since we asked for them .. is this normal??? We’re currently based in Dubai so I can’t go over myself and kick some butts

Well I'm asking cause certain professions like dentists, pharmacists, doctors, lawyers can claim higher education points. I thought that might help you. For the university, mine did it in a week or two. Keep pushing them

Hello,

I have also sent my PCC issued from the consulate in Dubai and sent it to my family back in Cairo, I hope you can advise on the exact steps needed to be made in Cairo as I noticed you got 2 replies one including an additional step.
Did you also get the PCC translated, i had filled out the information in English on the form however the officer in the consulate wrote his details and date in Arabic and i am pretty sure the final report from the ministry of interior would also be in Arabic.
thanks in advance.
If I remember correctly, it first needed a stamp from Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo because it's a government document coming from abroad. We then got the "no crimes" stamp from el3abaseya. I think the place is called el a7wal el madaneya.

You need to get it translated yes. There's no better place than the translation department of Ministry of Justice in Lazoghly. I personally filled the form in Arabic in Dubai, just so that it doesn't cause any issues when sent to ela7wal el madaneya. The stamp will also be in Arabic.

Best thing about translating in MOJ is that no certified copy is needed as it's got an official government stamp. It also comes with an affidavit. Worked for me flawlessly.

I didn't ask my uni to send it directly. I just asked them to seal an envelope with their stamp and sent the documents myself.

I don't think it should be a problem. I did the same, but am still preparing documents for e-APR.

Hello everyone, me and my husband are looking to apply for Express Entry, if we achieve Clb 10 on ielts , our score will be around 410-415.
My husband is thinking of second diploma/degree/certificate to make more points.
Can anyone suggest a pocket friendly online program? Do Egyptian universities offer online programs??
Thanks in advance.
Since you mentioned the maximum from a language proficiency perspective, you have 2 options:
1. Join the express entry pool and visit the website of ALL provincial nomination programs to check for your NOC or your husband's, depending on who is primary. A few of them are open now looking for specific occupations in demand (Saskatchewan was open but just closed, New Brunswick are running information sessions, I think Manitoba also is open) and definitely more will open up beginning of the year. The 2018 yearly immigration quota will be announced by minister Ahmed Hussein in a few days. Baseline is 300,000 and may be more than that. Definitely more provinces will begin to look for nominees once they receive their provincial quotas.
Follow up continuously as the occupations in demand lists change and some programs open/close intermittently. Of course there is always hope that the CRS score will drop if much more than 300,000 immigrants are planned, but you need to have alternatives.

2. If you have extra cash, you can use the study visa route. You or your husband can apply for a full time masters/diploma/etc. of at least 8 months duration in Canada, and the other will get a work permit during the study visa period. Applicant will also be eligible for a post graduation work permit for a duration close to the study duration, that allows you to stay in Canada to work after graduating. This will give you points for Canadian education (I think 30) and if you and/or your husband have 1 year or more of Canadian experience you will get even more points. Simulate the scenario in the CRS tool to check the impact.

Good luck

Thank you for the reply, my husband is the main applicant and it will be very hard for us financially to study abroad.. he is thinking of distance learning though.
His NOC is ICT so ontario would be great for us.
I’ve been following the scores and feel the more people apply the higher the cut off will be, so starting to lose hope for direct ita

I expect a drop in scores, IF more than 300,000 immigrants are planned in 2018. See the 2017/2016 scores/number of people drawn to understand what I mean.
A number of ICT NOCs are required in New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, Ontario, also check Manitoba. Only Ontario passively picks applicants from the pool and sends them Notification of Interest to apply, so don't rely fully on waiting to get picked. Some people receive the NOI and before they collected all the documents, they closed the applications. It is very competitive and all your documents must be at hand, by let's say 1 Jan. I recommend actively checking the rest.
From a scores perspective, a diploma or masters would add to your points but will need 1-2 years to complete, which means 5-10 points lost due to age.
A quicker solution would be to study French heavily and try TEF. There are bonus points if you score well and may give more points than a diploma or masters:

Scored NCLC 7 or higher on all four French language skills and scored CLB 4 or lower in English (or didn’t take an English test) 15
Scored NCLC 7 or higher on all four French language skills and scored CLB 5 or higher on all four English skills 30

My husband was just telling how he’d rather learn french than applying for an extra diploma.. but his french is below average (sucks) I’m not sure he’d be able to get a passing score on the TEF exam!!! Do you know anyone who actually did that and succeeded?
On another note... our diplomas are taking so long to be issued from our university! Is this normal?? Did your diploma take a month or so to be issued??
