All three offices in Toronto are fairly slow due to the large amount of applicants. But it also depends on the person who handles your case, someone works efficiently while someone does not. Fingers crossed.
I understand, thank you.

Thankfully I'm not in a rush but it's good to know what to expect :)

Where can we find timeline for different local offices? I'm in Ottawa. Is this office pretty slow, too?

I agree. Based on what I see on other forums, some applications get processed within 90 days while others take 6 - 12 months at the same location.

Seems like some people from Oct are getting AORs already. That makes it 2 weeks. Sounds promising so far, doesn't it? :)

So much for CIC's bull about first come, first serve basis
Right... and I don't really understand why. Loos like, some agents are busier while some have more time...

Sydney only does AOR. The vast majority of pre-Oct 11 applications is not in Sydney anymore. So they could either do nothing or deal with the new applications. I prefer the latter.

Hello,
I have a question.
Why the city where we live is important if we all sent our applications to Sydney, Nova Scotia

Sydney does completeness check and then forwards the application to the local office where you live.
