As far as I know, PPR is always sent via email unless you chose to receive everything via postal mail on your application. We received ours in an email. Most updates and notifications of messages come via email.

Regarding updates in MyCIC ... ours didn't change until the visa was issued and then everything was updated to completed and approved.

Got a PPR! (DM yesterday)
- received it by email, nothing on GCKey yet
- email came from CPC Mississauga
- documents are to be sent to CPC Ottawa
- they didn't provide a contact email the way Ottawa does, the letter instructs to launch a CSE if any issues arise.

Application was received on May 9th. It could have been a month earlier, but I forgot to include something.

We also got PPR email today! The weird thing is that it was sent to me (The Sponsor) and not my wife (The Applicant). Odd, in any case I forwarded it to her.

Does anybody have any idea approximately how long it takes to send your documents and get them returned? Since my wife is from the USA it looks like she doesn't actually need to send a passport, but still needs to send a photo copy as well as some pictures.

Congrats! When did your get your DM? Did your GCKey update to decision made?

Decision made on ECAS approximately 2 weeks ago. CIC has not changed and says still completing background check and determining eligibility

We moved to Canada on June 6th so I could begin work (sponsor). My husband and son have been here on visitors visas

May 8th applicant here. Background check still not started, medical exam still not passed over 4 months since submitting it. MP won’t help, can’t get a hold of CPC-M no matter how many times I call or submit Webform enquiry. GCMS notes say basically nothing has been started. Anyone else in a similar position?
