Yeah, we got pretty lucky. I think it's just because we were in the Mississauga "easy" pile, and were one of the later applications to go there, so we hadn't already been waiting for nine months by that point.

My CoPR arrived today! Now to sort out landing etc.

Nope. The details just go as far as "received." To be clear, CIC shows that I passed them. It's just ECAS that's lagging behind.

So, myCIC changed for me last night. It now shows as approved and says there's a message below, but there's no message. ECAS still stuck at "medical results received." My return package doesn't show in the Canada Post system yet, but I'm guessing it'll go in the mail in the next couple of days...

I'm also looking into this. What problems have you heard about Niagara?

They gave me a receipt for the one to the office, but the easiest way of taking down the tracking number for the return envelope was to just take a quick snap. She'd had a bit of a row with the person before me and had one with the person after, so I didn't really want to cause her any more hassle!

When I sent off the passport scans and pictures, the woman at the counter suggested I take a picture of the Xpresspost envelope so I had the tracking number. When that appears on the Canada Post site, I'll know something is on the way. Unfortunately, that means another thing to obsessively...

It's very hard to tell what's normal I'm afraid, as Mississauga isn't usually a visa office.

I seem to remember my CIC status changed to "background check in progress" after a week, but just sat at that stage for a while.

Application was received on May 9th. It could have been a month earlier, but I forgot to include something.

I also got my PPR email today! Congratulations to anyone else getting theirs, best of luck to those still waiting.

Oh, that's a pain! I wouldn't get too excited though. A lot of us in Mississauga have had ECAS change to Decision Made, but nothing change on CIC. I think someone in a "real" VO, like Ottawa, needs to sign off on things before it moves forward.

I came in to see if anyone else was having this issue. I have the same problem. Oh well, it'll stop me obsessively checking it all day!

Sorry, only just saw this. I called CIC and the person I spoke to said it was "probably" a yes, because they hadn't asked anything else. He confirmed that Ottawa would be doing the paperwork in terms of sending things out. He couldn't give any sort of idea how long it would be. I can't really...

Ah, that would make sense. I just need to speak to an agent about it, as my visitor's visa runs out at the end of November, so I need to make a decision about whether to apply to extend, or go back to the UK for a bit.

Thanks! I'm a little worried atm, because the Dr for my medical put the wrong country on the form, saying I was from Ireland. Anyone able to say how long they waited between DM and a confirmation email/letter? Application received: May 9th 2017 Sponsorship approval: June 12th "VO"...

My ECAS just changed to Decision Made. I'm calling CIC now to find out what happens next, and how long I am likely to wait for COPR if it was a positive decision.
