Hello,

in My CIC, PR card status is shown as "Approved".. but still no email. what does it mean - does it mean PR card is already printed and about to be sent?
when will i receive my PR card.
Hi, Usually the email comes a day after you see this in MyCIC.

Yes it means its ready and could have already be on its way or at least will be sent very soon.

You should receive your PR card by the next week or so.

Hi everyone, I see a lot of people get photo requests and I was wondering if I can send new photos before they ask just in case? I dont want my PR card to be delayed as I'm planning to travel in Dec. I did my landing in September and should receive the card by Nov if they dont ask me to resubmit a new photo. Suggestions anyone?
Hi, the best way is to call CIC and ask them if there is any notes in your file to suggest a need for photos or anything. They will normally say you need to wait for the 61 days to pass to call about this but they are usually kind enough to look into your file. Just tell them you are worried about needing to send new photos.

I am not sure about inland or outland. I came as a federal skilled worker through express entry
if you applied while you were living in Canada then your are inland ,otherwise you are outland.
BTW I landed on 5-Sep (Outland) ,my PR card status is approved .I think tomorrow I will receive the update email

Finally I was able to link my application and it was showing as submitted and in progress. Simultaneously I called call centre and they informed me that it is approved and not yet issued! What does that mean? I am praying that I should not get photo request

Hello, any one who landed in Sep got their PR cards?
Roughly count 2 months, normally IRCC send an email/notification that you need to re-submit a new photo after 2 months of landing. But if you won't be required to submit a photo, the PR card would be received within the 3rd month of landing.

So if you landed Sep, wait till Nov for any request to submit a new photo. If you won't be required to submit a photo, PR card will be received within Dec. Thats based on some of the experiences posted here.

All,
Below are my timelines related to PR card processing:
Landed on June 22nd at Calgary.
Photo request received on Aug 16th. Photos received by IRCC on Aug 21st
Second photo request received on Aug 23rd. Photos received by IRCC on Sept 5th
Application approved on Oct 20th. (In between I had called IRCC, they said photo request processing time would be approx a month from the time they receive it.)
Now waiting for the cards to arrive. Total time was over 4 months.
Wow! You had 2 photo request from IRCC? Is this for the same person/application?

I was pretty sure I would get a photo resubmit request since I forgot to write my date of birth on the back of my photo but I guess I got lucky!

Hi detailsreq,

Congrats!!! Once you get the PR card could you please update which photo they used, whether the ones received on Aug 21st or Sep 5th. That would give us an idea which date IRCC is processing.

For those of you who can't link their PR card to CIC; call IRCC. When I called to change address, the agent told me that an address was never entered. I found out one month after landing. Now I can link my account, but it obviously delays when I get my card. Also messes up travel plans :(

Hi skarme312,

Is everything fine, if it links to MyCIC account without any issues?Or further phone call to follow up is required? In my case, the immigration officer asked " are you using the same address mentioned in your work permit" and she told that she is going to enter the same and I was able to link successfully within few hours.

Thanks,
Kalpan
