Tracking working/non working versions of form CIT0002E-2

There seem to be updates to the application form, some of which don't work very well.

There was the initial version which wouldn't print, then a second one on the 12 Oct and I know of another version on 19 Oct which now has problems with field width truncation.

You can see the version of the form you have downloaded by checking the file's properties via your PDF program.

You can see which version of the form you have by loading it into Adobe Reader and then navigating
File->Properties or pressing Ctrl-D

Note: if you save the file then it's modified date will be updated accordingly

Q11 is now broken - it truncates fields both on the screen and in the printed version.
Also contains minor formatting changes: help buttons and row (+/-) widgets now located far RHS​

You are right. I'm experiencing the same issue with my family application. One particular question is number 14 table A - the passport number field is removed on one application and not on the other. However both forms are CIT-0002 (10-2017) E

Do you have the original unmodified PDFs? Can you check their respective creation dates to see how they differ.
I suggest you copy the good form, reset it and use it for the 2nd application.

I've downloaded and prepared my application on the on the first version which works perfectly, and I'll send tomorrow, are there any differences in both versions? do I have to redo my application using the updated forms?

Sine they updated the form, I assume that there are some necessary changes. I would like to get the old/good form as well if they still accept it. But they always suggest to use the latest form from the website.

Have you talked to them?

It normally takes couple of months to Amend any form..I know it does not makes sense, but amends will need approval from several officials before changing anything on the form - even if its a no-brainer.

Note that the questions and wording of the form have not changed, the layout a little. The issue with the form is the lack of attention to the interactive PDF implementation; save not working, print not working, now Q11 features have regressed.
Given the track record of updates I would expect this latest issue to be corrected pretty quickly once CIC are made aware of the fact.

You choose what you want to do. Download and print out a blank form, the latest (19th Oct) and the one from google docs (11th Oct)
Then with the help of someone else, read through one version of the form and have them read/review/compare the other version of the form.
IF you are satisfied that they are for all intense and purposes the same, then go ahead and use the working PDF

It is YOUR decision to make, no one can make it for you.
