Hi All,

Need valuable suggestions please,

My CRS Score is 429 and IELTS score L:7.5 R 7 S :7.5 W:7 .I am currently in US and planning to migrate to Canada once I get my PR ,
Score of 8 in Listening will increase my score to 487 .

so should I wait for CRS to come down or should I re take IELTS again ?

thanks

Tricky question- if I were you, I'd take up the IELTS again as a CRS score of 487 makes you a 'much better candidate' to win the much-coveted ITA in subsequent draws.

On the other hand, a score of 429 albeit not all that bad may take some time, with the past 2-3 draws hovering north of 430.

In the interim, please do build your EE profile with a score of 429 and update the IELTS scores later. In this way, you still run a chance of getting the ITA should the scores drop. All the best.

OK thanks- your physician need not be on eMedical- If he is on the paper-based one, he should give you a Upfront Medical Report (UME)- IMM 1017B form which should be uploaded.

Good Luck !!!

Thank you Jakev for your response, I have created EE profile with 429 and I am in the pool .I would definitely start preparing again after your suggestion .

thanks

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick question, My wife has appeared for IELTS for 7 times and every time we miss the band 8 by 0.5. Currently we are at 381, if we get 8 bands i IELTS our CRS will go up to 420 +.

I look at IELTS as business where they do not give the required bands, any suggestions
Prepare for the exam based on the assesment criteria, the band and the associated rubrics are clearly explained in IELTS guide.
As a member already mentioned
L,R are clearly objective, and for W , S please follow the assesment criteria.
You should target 8777 for LRWS , please share section wise results for better advice
In my opinion taking 7 tests with proper preparation should atleast take 28 months
(4 month per exam gap.)
So my conclusion is that, not sufficient work on improvement, according to rubrics was done.
Sorry for being rude but why you chasing band 8 , concentrate to get 8 in L and 7 in others which is very possible given your gap is 0.5 and experiance of the test format.
Good luck
Edit:-some members here also recommend and have already successfully tried exam reassesment from IELTS to improve 0.5

Thanks to a lovely border agent in Toronto, all of the issues regarding the work permit and my husband's renewed passport are solved. Trying to get an answer from the LA office that processes them was a wasted month, and didn't ever answer the question.

Countdown to school: 77 days.

It's not as good as an ITA, but a year from now, it will be worth 30 more points.

Hi guys hope every one is doing well aside from all the anticipation for the numbers to go down including me wishing every one the best. I have a question any help be highly appreciated in this awsome place of hope.

My husband is the main applicant. He scored a CLB 9 or 10 im not pretty sure but my scores were really low i totally screwed up got 6/ 6.5/6.5/7. All this time i believed my scores wont matter much but reality hit me @423. Can anyone guide me if i retake a test how much points could i muster in this situation. How much will it make a difference anyways. If its just a few points i dont want to waste money but our scores will drop @418 after january 2018. Kindly guide me if someone.

You can simulate your scores with CRS calculator

I think , it should add 4 points if you manage to get 8777 in LRWS

Thank for your kind reply.
I already have one Express entry profile in which I mentioned my spouse is join me. At that time my immigration officer didn't give option to me.
After a reaserch I found that I can select a option that my spouse is not accompany me now. In that way my points will increase.
So, that's why I want to create another profile stating my spouse is not accompany me right now. As my immigration officer refused to change anything in my current profile created by him. In later part I will withdraw that profile.
By immigration officer I assume you mean immigration consultant/lawyer. You can ask him to withdraw the existing profile before you proceed with creating a new profile stating you are planning to obtain PR for self and spouse won't be accompanying. That's the legal thing to do.

In this scenario where do you think the score will reach @ 3600 ITA starting 2018 quota
This depends on where the CRS cut off would reach by end of December which in turn depends on how many 1-week gap draws actually occur.
If the 3600 ITA's per draw happens for the 1st 6 months in 2018 and 2 or 3 1-week gap draws also occur (and no draws occur with more than 2-weeks gap), then the cut off should reach the same level which it reached in May or even below that.

Hey guys . I know CIC is the most unpredictable. But i am certain about the score touching 415 in thre 1st quarter of 2018. The most promising for November is Mr Ahmed's assurance that the numbers for 2018 will not drop. Analysts can you please give us some hopes of the scores touching 415?.
Once the targets for 2018 are out, I will come up with some analysis.
