Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum, and would like to ask for some advice regarding applying Student Permit/Visa.

Profile:
- Single, 3yrs working experience
- Almost all of my immediate family are already in Canada.

So I wanted to study in Canada as my family is already in there, I have the money for the SDS (gic and tuition for one year) my worries is that I would be rejected because of the weak ties in my home country and strong family ties in Canada.

can you give an advice for this? thanks.

You have a huge pull factor in Canada and there is nothing you can do about it. You just need to increase the proof of your establishment in your country. Jobs that will hire you after you graduate is a good counter for this.

Hi @kapatid, salamat sa pagsagot, would it help if i have property under my name like house and lot? Jobs that will hire me? like a guarantor letter? is it ok if i will create a letter stating that he will indeed hire me after my studies and just have my manager signed it? thanks kapatid.

The question here is, would you actually go back? Or mag aral ka lang para maka PR? Best is to not lie in your SOP because they can always dig that information up.

As for majority of your ties are in Canada, you can try the express entry route since having direct family relatives(brother/sister and sometimes parents) will give you extra 15 points. Baka po maganda ang credentials ninyo and mapili sa pool. If you good education, english skills and work experience, baka mas ok po ang express entry for you. Mas tipid pa.

Sa case ko po meron nanay ko 3 kapatid and meron ako mahigit 10 na pinsan pero hindi naman naging issue.Pero the properties I showed and the 3 business I presented guarantees my ties. Pero if parents and siblings ang nasa Canada, ibang usapan na yata. Sa case ko din halos puno yung passport ko noon ng travels which displays na in and out ako ng Canada, US, etc even before pa ako nag decide mag aral.

As for humber, if zero IT background, di ok yung program na kinuha ko. It was a bit of hell pero kinaya ko nalang kasi napasubo na ako hehe

The speed of processing does not guarantee success po. May iba in 26 days approve na. May iba in 2 months. The good news is may progress po and umaandar ang application ninu

yeah my main goal is to be PR, and kaya i wanted to try this program is because mas mabilis sya, pero yeah i will also try express entry too if refused talaga ako for this program, pwede ko po ba kayo i-message sa fb? member napo ako ng #StudyPermitCanadaPH DIY

If you can present your new LOA sa point if entry, then they could probably amend it on the spot. Othwrwise you might have to enter Canada and ammend it afterwards. You can also consult the international student center of your new school. Di ko lang po sure kung may sasagot ngayon kasi may welga ang mga colleges hehe

I am not saying that you will be denied po but it might be more cost effective if you evaluate first if baka mas ok if express entry. Keep in mind that after studying, saka ka pa alng makaka apply ng work and eventualy PR. So if you think about it, mas mabilis and mura ang express entry

Hello! Nasa pinas po yung laptop na ginamit ko to apply and unfortunately, nanakaw siya nung pinasok yung isang business ko

Hindi po ako active sa mga mga FB groups, except yung isa na mga members is mga students na. Pansin ko po kasi karamihan sa mga FB groups, gusto instant gratification. Ayaw magbasa and gusto sagutin lang mga tanung nila kaya ang ending is hindi structured ang mga info and halos paulit ulit lang ang mga tanung
