I have applied for study permit on 02 May 2016. Read date in mycic account is changing constantly. Now it is showing read date 05 June 2016 EDT. Please guide me whether this read date means when cic read my application or it mean when I read my application message.

The above information is incorrect. The date read for the messages is the date *you* last read the message.

If the date read is the date we read why my date is not changing daily .I open my account on daily basis but few days on 13 august the date remain same and its change on 25thaugust and after that again no change

The date read is the date the officer is logged in our account. During the last month the read date in my GcKey is changing constantly, every week. We are close to a decision, I suppose.

No dear now my confusion is clear that the date read is change when we read the account msg ex.medical send by them or any other document send by them

I don't think so. I read them every day and the date doesn't change. During this month that my date is changing, an officer called my prior employer. So I am sure they are logged in my account. Prior it was unchanged for around 6 months and I checked my account every day typing everything there and the date read never changed.

I have applied through vfs Dhaka and i linked my application to gckey today..it was linked properly but date read section shows 'new message' rather than any date..
I dint understand that..pleaee help me out

I think "date read" time changes when officer logins to our account or they read our data.

Ash92 it will change probably when the officer will read data for first time, It took me week.

I have been following this thread with amusement for the past couple of months. The date read is the date you actually click on the Application Messages. The date sent remains the same but the date read changes depending on how often you read your messages. I just clicked on one of messages just now and the date changed to Oct 25.
