My mom wants to apply as an emergency service provider while accompanying me to Canada since I'm a minor. What documents does she need to apply with?

What do you mean by "apply as an emergency service provider"? Do you mean work in Canada?

She needs a full time job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA. She will also need to look into any potential certification required to work in such a role in the province she wants to work in.

Thank you. But most importantly, she wants to get a masters degree next year while she works. Does that affect any if her applications and please what job do you think she can apply for? She's a medical doctor

If she wants to take a Masters degree - she will need to apply for a study permit. While studying full time, she will be allowed to work up to 20 hours per week.

Sure. But she's not studying I think until May so she wants to work before then. I'm starting in January so we're leaving for Canada in December.

In that case she needs a full time job offer and an approved LMIA from an employer in Canada in order to apply for a closed work permit. It can easily take 4-6 months for an employer to obtain an approved LMIA and it's also typically extremely difficult to find employers willing to go through the LMIA process.

Does she already have a full time job offer? If so, has the employer started the LMIA process?

Thank you for your kind replies and patience. No, she hasn't even applied yet.

So just for clarification you are a minor

So just to clarify you are a minor and you are ‘starting’ in January but how is your mother accompanying you ?

What visa does she have given you having a study permit does not confer any rights on your mother to enter the country to accompany you for the duration of any study permit ? As per above posts she would need to apply separately in her own right.

Yes, I am 16. So my mother has to apply on her own. But is there any way we can apply jointly, even if it's the money for the application we pay together, just to show she's my mother and I'm a minor? We really don't want to get a custodian
