I am new here. I just lodge my Express Entry for Federal Skill. My CRS is too low. I am trying to find some ways to increase my score. Am I eligible for Nova Scotia PNP eventhough I dont have a job offer? I am 36yrs old and a Civil Engineer by profession with 10 years of experience.

For PNP demand stream you dont need any Job offer..I think right now its closed. When they open this stream they will publish the demand occupation lists (means which all professions they need). If your profession is there in that list then you can apply....

Hi All,

I have PNP nomination from Nova Scotia and have been approved PR, I am planning to finish my landing formalities end of this month for a week and then plan to return for winding down later.

Anyone who recently completed their landing formalities and immigration procedure can you please let me know if will they also accept Fixed Deposits and Bank statements totalling up to the amount required for POF which I produced during the application process or if there is specific form in which I need to declare as stated by CIC(such as DD or TC)?

I want to avoid unnecessary conversion of currency if possible as I am only planning to stay for a week.

Any advice in this regard is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Same documents which you submitted as POF in your PNP and PR application process are good enough to show at the port of landing.
Just make sure they have updated stamped and signed.

Question3 : I am the main applicant and my wife is in India .I applied for PNP program with c category job (non express entry). I applied with my wife and officer inform me that I am not meeting annual income to support my wife,so officer was refusing my application so I withdraw my wife from the application and applied my application . Now I am nominated through nova scotia PNP program . I am applying for PR application (paper base application) can I add my wife as a dependent on my PR application or not as she is not nominated as a dependent . hope It make clear to you now.

Ok so you got nomination through NSNP skilled worker program : Semi Skilled "C- Occupation".
I do not have much knowledge about this program but as I can see the following requirement:

The Office of Immigration will not approve an application if it appears likely that your family income (based on your job offer and any spousal income) will be below Statistics Canada’s applicable Low-Income Cut-Off at Table 3 of www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5196ETOC.asp#5196E9

And as you told me that nomination officer inform you that you do not meet annual income criteria if you include your wife. I guess CIC will also refuse your application if you include your wife in your application. However I do not know why Nova Scotia put this criteria for this Skilled worker program cause this is Federal Criteria(CIC) applicable only if you want to sponsor your wife.

So As far as I understand if you include your wife in your PR application it might possible that CIC also processed your application same like family sponsorship program and in that way definitely CIC will refused your application as you do not meet Low Income Cut off Criteria to support your wife.

But if CIC processed your application same like other PR application then you just need to show a minimum fund required for 2 family members and everything is fine.
But again your wife name is not include in your nomination that means chances are more that your application would be processed as sponsorship criteria and may be that is the reason Nova Scotia also asking this criteria to fulfill.

According to me you should not include your wife name in PR application but you can take a chance depending upon the expiry date of nomination as just in case if CIC refuse so that you may apply again without your wife name

I am sorry my friend I do not have much information for this Semi Skilled worker program.
