Flag polling - Sarnia Border

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to flag pole tomorrow at Sarnia Border Is it okay if I take my friends along, they don't have US visa and neither they are flagpolling?

Anyone have such experience please to share.

Hey,

I think it is not a good idea to bring a person whose not flag polling. Specially when you are going to US border.!
However, please share your experience as I am planning to go for flag polling next week.

There wasn't any issue, officers on both the sides didn't ask him anything as I told them I am doing flag pole and my friend is just accompanying me. He is on study permit and have US visa so all we had from his side of document was passport and study permit. But I had a bad experience as CBSA officer was not cool at all. So rude and arrogant person and was pissed off as I choose to do flag pole on Sunday.

Wow. Did you flag pole at sarnia border ? I think we should not flag pole from Friday to Monday as they are busy days for them, I read somewhere.

Ya I did it on Sunday afternoon. I know it is a busy time but including me there where 3 other people in the whole building with 10-15 CBSA officer. And plus week days are not possible for me to flag pole.

Hello everyone,
I want to share my experience with all who are looking to flag pole from sarnia.
Note* I did not have US Visa so was looking for a pedestrian crossing walkway.
About 3 weeks ago I received my copr and was planning to go to Niagara border but found out that they have certain times on week days for flag poling and are not open for weekends.
So I went to sarnia border. I travelled for about 3 hrs from brampton and of my surprise I got to know that they do not have a pedestrian walkway and I had to cross the border by car only.
I was very disappointed of me that time I did not research for border crossing. Me and my husband were about to come back when he searched something about Windsor border crossing. In Windsor, there is nice service of tunnel buses who take you to us customs and if you do not have us Visa, they will send you back in the next bus back to Canada.
So it took me about 2 hr at us customs and they sent me back. Upon reaching Canada border services, it took just 10 min to get all the paperwork done.

Imp: I went to windsor tunnel bus station early around 8 am on sunday and got everything done by 10:30 am

Yes. I did mine around 1 pm it's completely empty I recommend you to go there.
