I have officially sent my application it should arrive tomorrow October 3rd.

Actually we are going to apply this Friday the 6th instead, as Monday is Thanksgiving

Still gives us a 10-day buffer. Hope they don't implement C6 3/5 requirements between now and Friday.

A 10-day buffer and much bigger chance of RQ vs over 365 days of buffer and smaller chance of RQ with 3/5, essentially the same processing time without RQ... I don’t understand why the rush

Because we got hosed by 7 days when 4/6 went into effect. I don't want to get hosed a second time and get stuck behind a pile of people who landed long after me.

Good decision! 10 days buffer is more than adequate if you are not a frequent traveler....

No more waiting! I took oath in May '17! I applied in Nov '16 and the info is there in the spread sheet...

Good question! I think I joined the forum to find out about the possibility of sponsoring parents, and never left. Big fan of Bill C24 and people who apply under the 4/6 rule...

How did sponsoring parents go, it is nearly impossible with the lottery thing now; unless you want to go for a supervisa and pay a huge health insurance.

Dropped the idea altogether after learning about the lottery and super visa hassles...
