We got 4 sets in total but none of them were labeled as such. Maybe it's different for each union council/city.Not sure If I'm following what you guys are saying here...
English and Urdu nikkahnaamas have four sets of forms each. All of these are considered "original" and "Legal". Some are for bride's side, may be one is kept by the registrar himself (or submitted by him to Union Council) and others are for groom's side.
English ones: Original, Duplicate, Triplicate, Quadriplicate.
Urdu ones: Pehla Prath, Duusra Prath, Teesra Prath, Chowtha Prath.
We submitted "Duusra Prath's" notorized copy, translation and affidavit of true translation.
Now, may be you guys or your elders opted for a single nikkah nama form which might also be totally fine. But generally speaking, there are 4 sets of each.
Waah bhai, humare zamaane (2016) main tou aisa kuch nahin likha the, hum ne bhi eid kardi thi Notary public ki.Posse is correct. Just read in the guide that photocopies need to be clear and not certified unless they are in another language and require translation. Mainay khwaamaKhwaaa notary public ki eid karadi.

Check Kinza's posts ..she had recently posted how and where to apply for GCMS notes.sure sure .. lol
one more question .. once we sign this document, where do i send it? also, do i have to wait for an approval to come to me before i can order the gcms notes?
our file was returned because we submitted copy of our birth certificate without notorizing. They asked us to submit again and submit a translation of the birth cert as notorized as well. Dont take chances , its like Rs.100 each max.. Trust me you do not want to take any risk.I was looking for clarification on whether i need to get copies certified. as far as i can see, it does not mention anywhere on the guides that copies need to be certified, only time they need to be certified is when a copy is not in English/French and transalation is being submitted. which is not my case. all my documents are already in English.
so i just wanted to make sure there is no need for me to get copies of original English documents certified as it is not mentioned anywhere.
