It takes like 30 days. I had mine on the 29th day. You will receive email with attached file. That file is your GCMS notes.

Any recommendation place for PR card photos?
I'm almost at 61 days mark, was waiting for my card like crazy and BAM got email from CIC this morning stating my card can't be issued cause the photos i gave them doesnt meet the requirement. Eventhough I went to a photography shop in shopping mall and looked like they know the requirement and such.
Sigh.
Is taking one from walmart or london drugs reliable?

Hi everyone, my husband landed on Monday. Yay!

Just wanted to update regarding the CSIS request - we heard back from them yesterday. Apparently our security screening started in October 2016, we made our request early August and they completed security screening around 2 weeks after receiving our request - that's 10 months for security screening. I have a feeling that we were forgotten somewhere and the request made them pick up their pace. Our VO must have rushed our case after - we received no DM letter and the landing interview letter came 8 days after security screening results were forwarded to IRCC. Hope this is helpful for anyone who may consider making a request to CSIS!

Based on my understanding so far, I believe london drugs is very very reliable.
My husband also got request for proper photo many years ago nd he went to london drugs for the new ones.
My son's photo for canadian passport was also taken there and there was no complain, my son was just 12months old at the time.

When was your application received? Where is the country of origin?

Here's my timeline:
01/2016 - Application Received
03/2016 - AOR
07/2016 - SA and AIP (1 week apart)
07/2016 - Upfront medical sent and received
08/2017 - Contacted CSIS directly to request into the status of security screening
08/2017 - DM on applicant side (3 weeks after contacting CSIS)
09/2017 - Landing (3 weeks after DM on ECAS)

It even seems to be from 50 years old for Laval university (Quebec city).

We did Walmart photos. Card issued fine.

Well I didn't read carefully, but the courses offered to 50+ I saw were mainly language courses. But, yes Laval university is a French-speaking university. However a lot of master and PhD student do not speak French. At least in my field, most graduate courses were in French, but the slides were in English and books were also in English.

Hello Everyone,
September 2016 applicant here, The 12th to be precise. My application has been under background check from January 2017. My medical has expired in august of 2017 and CIC has not requested for a new one. Any advice with what i could expect from now on. I have already been through the CSIS process for my Restricted Airside Identification Card to work in the secured side in most airports. Should i contact my MP or should i wait a bit longer for things to move on, So far Cic contacted me regarding my OWP in january and then an email which turned out to be a glitch in April. Thank you for time, Godspeed.
